ULL at Troy
intriguing game here. ULL coming off a big loss at home, and Troy is at home in their last game with their head coach. Does Troy play out of their minds trying to get Blakeny his last win, or does ULL come in more hyped because they are pissed they lost to app?

RE: ULL at Troy
This game really scares me with Coach Blakeney going out and I'm sure the team will want to send him out with a win. Trap game....coming off a miserable loss, last game, long bus ride, crazy Thanksgiving week schedule.....scary.

The players are hyped about this game. I can tell you that.

Let's see if it translates to the field

This has nothing to do with Louisiana, but I hope Coach Blakeney can go out a winner.

I generally always want a retiring coach to finish his career on a win, so I will be pulling for Troy here. Would be a great way to get something positive out of this season.

RE: ULL at Troy
Terrible position for UL-L. Troy will be sky high for this game. The Cajuns will have to play a very disciplined football game to beat the Trojans on Saturday. Last week's loss to App St should make it easy for Hudspeth to convince his team that they had better be bringing their A game to Troy this week. If the Cajuns play up to their potential, it shouldn't be close. If the Cajuns are taking Troy lightly, there could be trouble on the horizon. I don't think UL-L will take anybody lightly after last week, and I think they'll beat Troy in a close game.

Why? We still go to NO bowl. We will pull 40K to said bowl. We will be strong on all major sports, something NO else in the conference can say. Our athletic program will once again be tops in the state of Louisiana next to LSU. Our football team will be competitive again next year.

It is still in the back of the Cajuns mind how we blew the SBC outright title last year by dropping our last 2 games even though Broadway's arm was broken.

Believe me that Coach Hud is using that to motivate the team. Alot of players are motivated on their own to not lose the last 2 games again this year and a possible share of the title, because as we saw last weekend, anything can happen on any given Saturday.

You will know who will win midway through the first quarter. If TB looks lethargic and uninterested like he did against App St we will lose.

Do you think losing late and probably losing the conf title will have an effect on the bowl game attendance.

Not much. People in Lafayette love to go party and go watch the Cajuns in New Orleans. For games against Tulane, we use to pack the dome whether we were good or not. We'd go watch Tulane on Saturday and catch the Saints on Sunday.

Last season we lost our final 2 games and had to share the title and we still set a record for the NO Bowl. The game was against Tulane though but we still brought over 40k fans.

Broadway's arm was broken for less than one and a quarter of those two games. I really thought your backup would do a fine job against USA but didn't happen.
