RE: 2015 OOC
I agree with most. Some of the wins will be 50/50, maybe he's just an optimist. I really don't know if Idaho will beat Wofford though (Hope they do win, those ankle biters can be tough). The SBC needs to have a winning record against other G5 conferences. We will see if UL and Troy can rebound. Hoping that App continues its winning streak (until the GS game) and stAte can get healthy.
I don't know about the other SBC teams, but GS is losing most of the OL starters. Might be a few games until they can get things going.

We return basically our entire lines and most of our skill guys on offense. We lose our best defender in Q Lee, and both of our starting DBacks and a Safety. That's it.

Back in the dark days of AState, I remember a pre-season magazine writing. "The bad news is all of the back 7 on defense graduate, the good news is all of the back 7 on defense graduate after being one of the worst defenses in the country."

The good news for the lines is they will be much more experienced next year.

ULM only has 4 home games in 2015?

They get the 13 game exemption for playing at Hawaii, so they'll likely pick up a 5th OOC game for at home.

We are definitely playing Nicholls State at home on Sept. 12th. We could go 3-2 with that OOC schedule. Alabama will be seeking serious revenge for 2007 and Georgia will be tough anyway. We have past series wins over Tulsa and Hawaii. Nicholls shouldn't be a problem.

I think the preferable way to go is at most two P5's one G5 and one FCS. I wouldn't mind scheduling just one P5 unless it is a two for one or home and home. We need bowl eligible teams and a good OOC or we are never going to change the incorrect perception that any G5 outside of the AAC is really any better than us overall.

App will lose to ODU or Wyoming
GSU will lose to UAB
NMSU will lose to both UTEP and New Mexico
USA will lose to UAB
TX St will lose to Houston
Troy will lose to UAB
ULL will lose to LaTech
ULM will lose to Hawaii

My gut feel is for 9 more losses than you predict.

Meant to say '5 of the 9 games picked by BRT', not 5 OOC all year.

With the mass exodus that is about to happen at UAB, I don't know if they will win a game.

I think App beats both ODU and Wyoming, neither are very good.

UAB vs Troy, USA, and GSU is hard to read. If the Blazers drop football, I think the SBC Teams win those matchups, otherwise UAB wins at least two of them.

I agree on New Mexico State

I think Texas State beats Houston at home. I think App and Texas State finish 1-2 in the league next year.

Hawaii is terrible, ULM wins.

I think Tech beats ULL in Ruston. Cajuns lose a lot of players after this season.

I see 3 SBC losses out of those 9, maybe 5. But no more than 5.

None of your picks individually are outrageous, collectively you may be a bit optimistic. You have no one going 0-4 and only one team beating only their FCS opponent.

In 2013 you have two winless in OOC(Troy and Idaho) and five(App, GS, GSU, Louisiana and NMSU) that went 1-4 only beating a FCS school.

The SBC shouldn't be as bad OOC next year as you were this year, but every team in conference but one with at least one FBS OOC victory would be a first in the history of the conference.

Yeah, the UAB games are all kind of up in the air right now, and I was on the fence on my ULM/Hawaii call, but it's easy to get distracted in Honolulu. I agree that App should win against both ODU and Wyoming, I just think they'll choke against one of them (like we did).

I believe all of the bottom of the Belt will be noticeably better next year. App is obviously already found their stride and would demolish SouthMiss and Liberty now. With Troy they have played well in spurts I think everything depends on the coach hire just banking on they don't VanGorder it.

Also, concerning this year OOC it was weird that most of our bad teams were just about the only ones playing other G5 teams. We went 3-12 against the G5 with 10 of those losses coming from the bottom of the conference and an App that was just lost at the time and probably would kill S.Miss right now. Bad year for sure but a little out of the ordinary the top teams played more P5 than G5. If you flip that it probably looks a lot better and there is no discernable difference between the Belt and any other G5. Neither Coosa or the Belt did squat against the P5. I dont think Coosa has one P5 win this year.

If you want to play what ifs and revisionist history, what if anyone in CUSA with half a pulse had played Wake(the SBC's only P5 win), there are probably only a few CUSA teams that wouldn't easily beat the Demon Deacons.

Look, I said the SBC is going to be better next year and I can see your line of thinking for the most part, I just believe in big picture trends and I'm not sure I see the SBC going from one of the worst OOC performances in conference history to doing things the conference has never done in 14 seasons.

To look at those big picture trends a little closer, in 14 seasons only 3 times has no one in conference gone winless OOC and despite you picking them for five collective wins, I could see any(or all) of GSU, Idaho, and NMSU going winless.

On an individual game note, what makes you think NMSU beats UTEP next year? UTEP has won six straight in the series including an 18 point victory this year.

I did not revise history our worst teams played the most G5 games that is just a fact. If you flip that with the top of the conference I doubt it is 10 losses. I dont know why that is so crazy to wrap your head around.

UTEP is not jaggernaut and NMSU seems to be head forward and not backwards anymore. The last two years it was going to be a name the score blowout no matter the opponent with the only real hope for a win was the FCS team on the schedule this year they were in the majority of the games. Definitely not the same team from the last two years and I think they continue to move forward with the help of conference stability. I think it will be a coin flip, I doubt the spread will be more than a score either way. Just going homer on the coin flip.

The SBC shouldn't be as bad OOC next year as you were this year, but every team in conference with at least one FBS OOC victory would be a first in the history of the conference.

Let it go bro, muts is still trash and we all know the cusa is too. There is a reason nobody respects marshall and their tomato can schedule.

We played @Tennesee, @Miami, and USU. Next year we play @USC, @Toledo, Mizzou. Who in your conference woulda done anything better than 1-3? I would like to play Savannah St, BYU, and Memphis and then thump my chest too.

I didn't care about your annoying posts when you were in the sbc. The question is now why are you here?
