Unfortunately, this is the state of college football. In the meantime, Ohio State will get credit for nearly ******** the bed against 3-8 Indiana at home as being able to gut out a victory when clearly not playing their best.

I still don't think they can keep a 13-0 team from the Access Bowl. Though I also don't think any would surprise me any more.

They'll say 13 is an unlucky number and use that as their reason for keeping you out.

13 - 0

1+3-0 = 4

4 is considered an unlucky number in Chinese because it is nearly homophonous to the word "death".

You don't deserve to be ranked because you could kill someone. 03-wink

Brutal loss, I'm really worried about this being carried into the USM game next week.

On a side note: Coaches: Why do we continually go from the shotgun on 3rd/4th and 1? It's beyond stupid. You make 1 yard to go into 3 or 4. It drives me ****ing nuts.

I think even if Marshall blew UAB out, you might get some pity 25th ranking votes. Probably wouldn't garner anything significant, just insulting.

I think our play was influenced by UAB. It's the first team I've seen blow our OL off the ball. Had it not been for Cato, we would have lost by 20 pts. Good breaks for us decided the game. You have to be lucky to go undefeated but I think we used all of it up today.

Though I was visibly upset by the game as a Herd fan, I had to smile at the UAB players and how much fun they were having. You guys have found a coach!

Tough loss for UAB. Some different freaky plays went both ways, but UAB really should've taken points instead of going for it in the first half. We left 5 points off the board easy. That one field goal we didn't kick dictated us going for it for 2 two more times. Oh well though, it was a great game and we had a good crowd.

UAB played very well. You guys had it going in the right direction. We were lucky to win. I like USM the best as a CUSA brother but hope you all win next week and get bowl eligible.

Best tackling team we have played all year. There were 3-4 plays that Johnson usually would have been gone, but your last guy made the play. Really impressed with the way your front 7 played today.

We left it all on the field. Which is ALMOST all I could have hoped for...

You guys have all the weapons to compete for the BIG PRIZE and better be if you finish up conference like I know you can.

GG Dragons, you folks deserved the win. Outplayed MU in nearly every phase except LUCK. Just a physical arse whipping by your guys on both sides of the ball. Get bowl eligible, and win it please.

Write up of the game, but what struck me was the last paragraph:

"

A decision to shut down the Blazer program would mark just the second time in about two decades that an FBS school has quit football. Pacific gave up the sport in 1995.

"

Has anything gone official with that?

Thanks for the kind sentiment, but the team that deserves the win is usually the one that does. The kids played hard and gave themselves a chance, but in the end, the team that made the plays it needed to win made them.

Congratulations.

UAB....you came out today with great passion, and a strong will to win. We came out flat and you took it to us. Considering how we played, we were fortunate to come out with a win. I don't know what will happen to UAB football but lets hope that the good turnout and performance today will in some way keep UAB football alive for many years to come. Good luck. Herd Country is pulling for you.
