Minimum to save his job?
After losing a game that doesn't count with a team most think is a borderline Ncaa team, what is the minimum for the ambassadors to keep him?

His team had better start acting like it hurts the lose. From the comments I read, they were pretty dismissive. If that's the case, this will be Josh's last year at Memphis.

It'll probably be hard to fire him if he makes the tournament.

I don't think we will have to worry about that and I am assuming you mean NCAAs. Not sure if this team is even NIT worthy based on what I saw last night.

You based all that on one game? I have no excuses for last night, nothing.....but comeon. Not NIT worthy?

after the last 5 years, do you really have any faith in Pastner to mold a team together and significantly improve them?

I am hopeful. But to say we won't be NIT worthy is a stretch. We'll see.

Looking forward to all those who want the coach fired to send in a few thousand for the buyout.

When he got the Lawson's committed he basically got another year guaranteed. He would have to mess up bad this year, like missing the NIT bad, to be fired. If you want to fire Pastner I don't blame you, I'll listen. Just be intelligent and let me know who we are gonna get to replace him.

Wasn't that the same argument from those wanting to hold onto Porter?
"We were already paying Tommy... we can't afford to buyout Larry, too. If you want to fire Larry, then send in a few thousand, otherwise put a sock in it."

Funny thing is... I send in a few thousand... per seat... just to have the right to buy the tickets to watch Josh lose to CBU. Its arguable as to whether people like me pay Josh's salary since it is our over the top donation level that allows the university to allocate Ambassador donations to go towards Josh's gaudy salary.

As bad as last night was, and it was BAD. The team will improve. They will not lose every game.

They are in much worse shape than I thought they were. I figured we'd struggle early with guard play and steadily get better as the season progressed.

I did not think they would be starting from 'lost to CBU' bad so, until I see something different, .500 might be where this team ends up.

The early returns don't look promising.

Exactly. Some of us, a lot actually, already "send in a few thousand"

I've got news for you, those who want the coach fired include some folks who have the money for the buyout in between the cushions of their couch.
