I was recapp'ing ODU at Vanderbilt and was grinding my teeth at the zebras for the most ridiculous flags and blatant non calls i have seen in a while and was wondering what all conferences have these kind of morons as zebras. I know ACC does but who would take the trophy home for being the worst referee conference. In my opinion.

1. PAC 12
2. ACC
3. CUSA
4. Big Ten
5. CAA

ACC wins hands down. Marshall has had more wins stole from them from ACC refs than any other. Just off the top of my head:

1991 vs NC State
1993 vs NC State
2000 vs UNC
2014 vs VA Tech

Marshall beat Clemson 13-10 in Death Valley despite the officials. Marshall down 10-6 and have the ball for their last drive of the game. Marshall had to drive 124 yards when getting the ball at the 35. Many phantom holding calls and false starts.

After Marshall scores the refs make sure Clemson gets at least a shot to tie it up and go to OT. The kicker missed the FG attempt.

Yep those ACC zebras are the worst of their kind but after seeing PAC12 Washington-BYU game i seriously think the PAC 12 zebras took that mess to new heights

Everyone is the victim.

The SEC is good at protecting their teams. You have to beat the officials as well as the team you are playing. Sometimes its the no calls that are worse as they let them get away with rape in some cases.

South Alabama submitted a complaint to the ACC after playing NC State in 2012 and the ACC agreed the refs made egregious mistakes and suspended them. We were in our FCS transition year and wouldn't have won anyway, but their refs made it impossible to even come close.

Holy crap ACC is winning going away

It depends. Homerism is rampant within the SEC and ACC, but the worst referees from a competence standpoint - hands down - is the Sun Belt. Just spend a few days in that league and you'll know what I'm talking about.

I'm pretty sure most of these refs are working double shifts on Saturday. Pop Warner games at 0900 and then off to their Sun Belt game later in the day.

ACC followed closely by the CAA.

If you're talking about calls for theirs conference team,then it's the ACC. If you're talking about incompetence, then it's the AAC

The crew they keep sticking UAB with at their "home" games are absolutely abysmal! SEC gets my vote for #1 because of the "good ole boy" mentality that exists therein and yes, I believe with all my heart that some of them protect their own in games. Based on what I've observed this season out west, the Pac-12 gets my vote for 2nd place.

Conference USA is in the right slot at 3rd, their officials come off as consistently apathetic, like they'd rather be somewhere else other than the game they're calling, or they're just in it for the $$$ & don't care about the integrity of the game because they're not "connected"...
