I guarantee you someone on your team looked at the replay and decided it wasn't worth it. Geez.
The replay showed he got it and the announcers agreed.
The announcers have shown that they are mostly clueless during this game. Again, your team had a time out. IF SOMEONE ON YOUR TEAM DIDN'T LOOK at the play during the time out then it's on your team. EVERY team that calls a timeout after a questionable takes a look at it during the time out.
Seriously, if you would learn a bit more about football you wouldn't be so pissed off at your team and your coach. They've played well and your coach hasn't pitched a bad game.
Get your panties of a wad.
You guys are the ones that are ready to string up your coach because there is a ton of ignorance within your fanbase. Personally, I'm all in favor of you dumping on him because you'll get rid of a good coach and never get any consistency. Whatever, live in ignorance.
I have no problem with Fran today. Today the QB killed us in the first half. Fran called and coached a great game. That can't be said for some of the other games this year. This is the most we've passed (attempts) since playing our FCS game. The fans have been asking for more passing and we finally got it.

Somehow we won this one. The intercept for a TD was basically the difference.

We have to get the ball in Matt Breida's hands more.

Heck of a game Texas State! We all knew this would be a HUGE challenge for the Eagles, feeling fortunate to escape with the W.
7-0 in the Sun Belt! GATA Eagles!

hated the outcome, but it was a good game to watch (unless you're a bobcat fan).
I say kudos to Georgia Southern, they wanted it more. you've got a really good team.

Fran made a terrible call to go for it on 4th down instead of taking the field goal at the end of the 3rd. That play pretty much cost us this game...
questionable ball spot hurt later in the fourth, but it wouldn't have mattered had we made it a one possession game going into the fourth.
that's not good coaching.

Nice team, but I can't definitely say they belong in the top 3 of the conference.
They've had a nice year with a favorable schedule, but I'm not sold, and frankly not sure if they are good enough to beat ULM, much less stAte or UL.
Poor Tx State - such a likeable program, it's hard not to pull for them, but geez they shoot themselves in the foot so often.
You guys should have lost to Ga St at home. Lol
Did we?
You can only avoid us for one more year - it's inevitable - better talk it up now while you have the chance.

Our offense was basically stopped in the 2nd half today.

Oh, one other note: The guy who was running the clock on this game needs to be shot.
Only bonus is... He screwed up a bunch for each team, so it kinda offset... kinda.

You really shouldn't say all, you obviously didn't see the posts from people such as FLeagle who thought anything but a blowout would have been a disappointment by GSU.

Similar offenses which the teams practices against every day which is why the defenses dominated. Tx ST has a solid D.

Well by GS logic we beat TxSt by 24 pts., GS beat TxSt. by 3 pts. So does that mean UL is 21 pts better than GS?

Not trying to sound like a dick, but you were pretty well contained in the first half too.
156 yards rushing in the first half... 3 plays accounted for 97 yards.
Our defense did well, our offense was pretty close to shut down for close to the first whole 3 quarters.

RE: FINAL: Georgia Southern 28, Texas State 25
Crazy game of two halves. First half TXST couldn't play offense and the GS defense was on fire. Then int he second half, things started clicking and stupid PI by GS changed things. Of course thay was negated by an awful throw for a pick 6. TXST defense played lights out and all but shut down the vaunted GS offense. A couple big runs gave GS the points they needed but for the most part GS looked poor.
TXST could have easily won but in football the team with more yards, first downs, and time doesn't always win. Have to finish drives and TXST blew it three times and left points on the field.
Good game Eagles.

Nah, that is the new rule this year where the clock runs even when you go out of bounds.
