I'd argue Fritz cost GS one if not two games down the stretch in their two loses with clock management.

Not sure about clock management, but there was an odd situation where our starting QB was pulled after leading us on 4 straight TD drives against Ga Tech. We had the lead and the backup QB was brought in on the next drive. He then "fumbled" the ball on a bad pitch decision. (Turns out ACC replay blatantly screwed us on a reversal).
Apparently the starting QB was injured, but on the last play before he was pulled he threw a nice pass on a two point conversion and he came back in on the last drive with 20 seconds to go.
Anyway, I will assume he was injured, but knowing what a battler Ellison is, it all seemed very odd.

See, this is why I love you app fans. You're so gullible. You guys got spoiled by a rarity of a coach who won games and had no interest in leaving. You were also helped by being in FCS where it takes far longer to notice a coach.
It only takes a year at the FBS level to draw the attention of a big school. If a Texas school comes open, Willie Fritz will be one of those calls. The only thing Georgia Southern can really do about it is raise the salary and buyout enough to make sure no AAC or MWC can afford to make a run.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see some teams go after Georgia Southern's coaching staff.

We are already hearing rumors that Fritz may be on the list of possibilities at Kansas. It is a downer but the reality is if a P5 wants your coach there is really not much you can do. We simply cannot affort to pay $1 million plus for a head coach, not to mention the pay that all of his assistants will warrant if the head coach makes over $1 million.

I would hope he is not so desperate for a P5 job he would go to Kansas.

He is a Kansas native. GS fans hope he isn't that desperate either if offered, but he might be looking at that job as a place to finish his career.

He's done a good job of turning around some dumpster fire programs. Of course he didn't have that problem at GS, as it was a winning program and he inherited the best OL he's ever coached.

He could go to Kansas and get fired four years later with more in the bank than he'd make in a decade at GS.

It's about the money. The only thing we have going for us is that maybe he might be hesitant to go to a place that is very hard to win at that fired their last two head coaches after just 2 seasons.

If Georgia Southern continues to do this well, Kansas wont be Fritz's only P5 option.

This is about where I stand... I think Kansas will find a bigger/more tenured FBS name than Fritz. But if we keep rolling this year and do the same next year and beyond, every single win is another step closer to Fritz getting himself poached.
