All would be tie and would go to highest ranked team all others have more loses than ECU.
So if Memphis and ECU end up with 1 loss, and they didn't play each other, they aren't Co-Champs?
Edit: Highest ranked in what?
Yes, If 2 or more team are tied. Everyone is Co-Champs. Even Head2Head tie breakers dont matter.
Highest ranked team has nothing to do with conference champion, only bowl positioning.

· "2014 Regular Season Tiebreaker Procedure: For the 2014 season, the American Athletic Conference Football Champion will be the team that finishes the regular season with the highest winning percentage in conference games. If more than one team has the same winning percentage, the tied teams are declared co-champions. To determine the College Football Playoff/Host Bowl representative, the co-champion ranked highest by the College Football Playoff Committee will be eligible to receive the automatic bid shared with Conference USA, the Mid-American, Mountain West, and Sun Belt conferences."
I hope we end up with 6 or 7 co-champions. That would be a riot.
Can't wait to have a conference championship game. This is why all conferences should have a championship game. You hear me, Big 12?
Could have 7 bowl eligible team.

It doesn't matter if CSU is ranked #5.....they need Boise to lose another game for them to win the MWC...The AB slot has to go to the highest ranked conference champion

No, only G5 conference champions are eligible.
Per http://www.collegefootballplayoff.com/overview :
The Fiesta, Cotton and Peach Bowls will host displaced conference champions and the top-ranked champion from a non-contract conference. The highest-ranked available teams will fill any other berths. The Selection Committee will make the pairings.

I tried to find it for you, but my net must be really slow....can someone link it please??? At any rate, the AB slot MUST be a conference champion... There's a lot of ball left to be played.. neither ECU nor UCF is out of the race...and we have gotten ZERO love from the committee...

All of these 1- and about-to-be 1-loss teams are, in the whole scheme of things, fairly middling teams who fall somewhere between about the 40th- and 60th- best teams in the country (just like the Sagarin ratings have them pegged). Not much left to play for this year except likely a share of the conference crown. Better luck next year for everyone involved...
No....You didn't.
Eh, it's true. Last year's UCF or Louisville would have smoked all 5 of these teams. Not a great year for our conference. Hopefully we will be better next year.
No they wouldn't. This years Memphis team is so much better then last years and UCF had two score two TD's in a minute to win. Louisville had to win it at the end also. Ever thought that maybe this year the top 5 teams are fairly evenly matched?
Okay, you're right. Memphis is a juggernaut who happens to be a UCLA touchdown and a field goal, 3 Ole Miss touchdowns and a field goal, and a Houston touchdown away from being the national champions.
No, but there is more parody then last year. Last year was a 3 horse race, and now it is six.

How does ECU outgain a team by 300 yards and lose? 5 TOs to 0 for Temple. Tough road game in the cold rain for the boys. Just couldn't hold on to the ball today. It'd be nice to see them bounce back @ Cincy.

Is the glass half full or empty?
(11-01-2014 03:19 PM)eastside cat Wrote: Well, maybe the ECU team was as full of their own greatness as ECU fans. For weeks all we read was how the league championship is between them and UCF, everyone else didn't have a chance. ECU beat a not good VT team and another not so good UNC team, had to come back to beat USF and was down to the 4th quarter against UCONN. Maybe, just maybe, ECU is at the same level as the rest of the league. This league is wide open. Don't sleep on Cincinnati.
This sort of thing happens all the time in college football, where a G5 level team will notch some big non-conference wins and not even be dominant in conference play.

You said it like ECU would be the outright Champs. The same can be said for UH, UCF, Memphis, and Cincy.
