I agree.

Overall we are the better football program though, better overall winning %, own series head to head 22-19, 4-0 in bowl games compared to your 2-2, we have 4 more conference championships than you do. That's just my criteria though, but I guess we will go with yours that just happens to be the best 3 year period of your existence.

If we want to debate football history, than we should just go ahead and give the title to Georgia Southern and bow down to their glory.

We shouldn't debate footballing history to claim program dominance. That would make us no better than UNT fans who claim program dominance based on a 17th ranked finish in 1977 behind the great Hayden Fry.

I didn't set the criteria. I responded to criteria that was already set before I entered the discussion...

Well to be fair to the UNTs, there's the invite to C-USA which immediately turned a cellar-dwelling Slumbelt squad into a D-1 football powerhouse who won an important bowl game last year. I haven't checked this year, but I imagine they're ranked in the Top 5 or so by now. If it doesn't come this year, they'll most certainly win the national championship next year.

They don't regroup, they reload.

And I see my criteria, as well as commented on the 3 year criteria. I think I made it pretty clear what I thought on both sets of criteria.

About even, huh?

How many Sun Belt championships has ULL won in the past three seasons?

That is because we both had one lost in conference, and A-State beat UL in head to head competition. Causing yall to win the Sunbelt Conference by one game.

Congratulations!

Cajuns seem to take one frustrating league loss at the end of each season. Lost to WKU in 2011, lost to UNT in 2012, lost to ULM and USA in 2013.

If you don't lose those games in 2012 and 2013, you've got a full outright title, and a shared one to your credit instead of one shared title.

I'm sure if broadway doesn't break his arm, we win one of those last year and get the outright title. The north texas loss was actually early in the year, not at the end. 2011 we were picked dead last in the country and coming off 3-9 season...considering we ended up 9-4 and first bowl game/victory in 40 years, I'll give HUD a pass on that one. It's easy for everyone including myself to get wrapped up in the microwave society but HUD is still building this program. We have had attrition issues over the years because of our strength coaches crazy special forces type training. I think HUD is trying to find a good medium of training hard, making the guys tough and keeping an edge but at the same time, not running off talented players who don't want to be navy seals.

A-State's starting QB was injured last year at the end of the season too . . . so what?

Yeah? Was he replaced by a freshman? How did last game go? How did that Georgia state game go? Just think we win one of the two with a healthy broadway. Simple observation. I would think you would have beaten georgia state by more than 2 with your starter, or would have beaten wku...just an observation.

Why would you think that?

How much did ULL beat Ga. St by this year, with Broadway in the game?

3, which is more than 2 but we are very average. but I'm talking about your game against them last year. If we did what we did to texas state and we are average, surely the talent superior stAte should have beaten georgia state by more than 2.

You're right again.

We just beat them by 42 at their place.
