Agreed. Most sports bars will all of them on. We're head to head against the KC Royals / Baltimore O's game. That's not nearly as sexy as the 3pm Giants/Cards game.

Ratings for that series are very high right now. Royals are the sexy team of the playoffs. Its like a 10-12 percent increase over last year's LCS games at this point.

Since Giants/Cards has been mostly relegated to FS1, its actually hurt its viewership.

You go to a bar tonight, you'll likely find either Soccer or baseball on, though you should be able to request the football game. Unless you guys live in a part of the country where those sports don't exist. Up here, they are a big deal.

I'm putting the Soccer game on the television, the SBC game on the computer, and will flip over to baseball once Soccer finishes.

But I am a bigger baseball and soccer fan than I am football.

Not sure what part of the country you are in, but when I go to sports bars, they have any football on that is playing. The tvs will most likely be on espn2 already. Regardless how much you want to try to argue, if anyone on the planet wants to watch live college football tonight, they have 1 option. Sunbelt programs will never get a chance at more exposure when playing each other.

Good luck Bobcats, I'll be cheering from kind of near enemy territory.

You'll be hard put to find a Cajun fan in Kinder or Oberlin. Strangely, those places are almo9st totally lsu Walmart fans.

Hopefully enough people are craving football this early in the week. I mean this is when the bowls bids and playoff races are starting to take shape. Ya its not the very first game of the season, but it is 2 teams better than ACU and GSU. And if baseball is typical, unless you cheer for one of the teams that are still in the playoffs, no one watches them until the world series and even then its games 4-7. I have no clue what you are talking about when you reference US National Team. Soccer was over in the summer and basketball finished a few weeks ago. NBA starts up in like 3 weeks and hockey plays when its cold outside. As far as I'm concerned, only one sport is playing right now.

The World Cup was over in the Summer. Soccer runs year long. While the National team my have a Soccer exhibition, that's still a danger to draw a ton of viewers simply because its gaining popularity so quickly in this country. Not to mention its the thing that is on ESPN.

There's this misconception amongst Soccer fans that the Sport only takes place in the Summer, when in reality, it never stops.

Most people over the age of 18 could careless about soccer. I will watch some of the World Cup and that's about it. I don't know of many people in the South that get into MLB. If you love football, we are the only game in town tonight.

Well I'm 30 and happen to diehard of both the Cajuns and USMNT! It's a great night for sports in my household. The only thing that could make it better would be for the Braves to still be in the hunt!

You really need to research the growth of American Soccer. Its got a higher percentage attendance now than College Football in most places.

Its a friendly, but you can bet if you go to any bar in a big city, you'll find that match on. Whether or not the other televisions will be showing Sun Belt Football or Major League Baseball I cant say.

Normally I completely agree with Tuesday Night proposals. But we got a raw deal this year with what our games are competing against.

Thinking tx st qb Tyler jones will have an impressive game tonight with national exposure going 24-31 two tds after a less than stellar performance at Idaho last week... Still don't know enough about ull so far this season. After tonight we will know more of where these two teams will end up in the SBC.04-cheers

About a year old, there are more recent articles, ht it quotes some of the growth I talked about.

People who study these things believe that Soccer will be the #2 sport in the United States in the next decade or so.

I was happy for the Cajuns when I saw on the guide read "Louisiana at Texas State".

Then they went and screwed it up when they were showing Hud's pregame speech and they had "University of Louisiana Lafayette Coach Mark Hudspeth".

So, at least it's 50/50 guys. Slowly winning the fight! (I'm doing my part by only calling you the Cajuns)
