Tickets
Selected my seats at Freedom Hall this week. No muss, no fuss, and am extremely pleased with the location of the seats. Have heard similar stories from other season ticket holders. Kudos to the folks in athletics for their approach to this re-seating!

Glad to hear this. I expected to hear bitching about this process...

Good to hear - my selection date is this Monday. Do you know that status of the new lighting or other upgrades?

RE: Tickets
I also had a good experience today (Thursday, October 9). They really tried to personalize it with athletic department staff shaking hands and leading you to your seats. You walk out of the building with your tickets and a parking pass. Seat location was fine, in line with the seats we had in the Dome. Parking location was better than we had last year at Freedom Hall.

I liked the games in Freedom Hall last year. Bringing fans closer to the court got us more involved and the team more excited. You don't get as much information on the scoreboard - but then you can always use livestats on your smart phone. I also worry about student involvement.

But I expect to enjoy the games there, and I expect that the team will be more fired up there.

RE: Tickets
I've heard rumors about bringing the score box over from the dome. It sounds like the box is still at the dome right now. Can anyone comment on that rumor?

Will we be able to listen to 640am in Freedom Hall and listen to play by play? Never could pick it up in the dome.

Does 640 or the network do an audio stream that you can pick up on your smart phone?.. lots of radio stations offer that now.

At one time AM640 was on iHeart radio app. I don't know if it still is or not.

RE: Tickets
There is an FM transmitter that is used on press row at all home games that broadcasts the home feed. It has been used for 10 years or so. 88.7 I believe. Try that. It adds a lot to the game, I can't go without it.

RE: Tickets
I could not be there at my appointed time so I called and told them what I wanted. I called the next day and was told where my seats where and they are pretty much what I would have picked out in person. Being in the lower tier, the new floor, the new lighting and other changes will make for an enjoyable game experience I think. I cannot forget how the players almost pleaded last year to play there. I think it is going to work out pretty good.

RE: Tickets
If this really does become at least a mid term solution, I do hope they follow through with the renovations to make it better as far as seats, restrooms, sound, concessions, etc...
