SMU is the worst team in the country

They have completely given up.

June killed the program. This isnt going to be an easy rebuild.

Tulsa will probably lose today as well.

Tulane made the mistake of scheduling more than what they could handle. They need to play 2 cupcakes, 1 50-50 game, and 1 tough P5 game per year.

Tulane has played:
4-0 GT
4-0 Duke
4-1 Rutgers

That's too big of an ask for the program.

Need some reconsideration for USF's coach. There is talent there but ZERO coaching...
SMU, please please focus on Football as well.
Tulane, why? just why?03-banghead Rutgers?

Hmmm then your team better NOT lose to any of those embarrassing AAC teams.
04-cheers

After seeing our brutal OOC schedule for the last 3 weeks. If we lose to anyone including UCF or UC we don't deserve to be ranked ever, we will forever be the chokers.

But i digress this isn't about ECU. There is some serious gap between (UCF,UC, ECU) and (USF,SMU,Tulane and Tulsa)

Just STFU, go away. You don't understand college football. You sound like a particular Marshall fan. If we lose to UC, or UCF we won't be "chokers" we would've lost to a good team, and a one quite possibly better than us. Judging by your criteria no team should ever be ranked, since each and every team has lost a game they were favored in before.

05-mafia dude you're such a tough guy... telling people to STFU and stuff through a sports forums.

I don't see us losing to any team this year in the AAC. Quit being a D we are on the same side jackazz.

Houston is an average team.
Tulsa is a really bad team.
SMU is the worst team in the country.
Tulane isnt a really bad team they just arent very good.

How would be not be "chokers" when we have everything going for us, the offense and defense look like a SEC team. If we lose we choke, because we lost a game we are definitely supposed to win be it against UC or UCF.

we choked against freaking Marshal last year...

Agree on USF. Respectable showing they looked tough for most of the fame. Just couldn't get enough offense.

SMU and Tulane are terrible.

Marshall was a good team last year and they are again this year. They beat us.
Anyone can lose one game for christsake. You judge a team and a program over multiple games and a whole season.

My fellow Army fan should sit down and shut up.

Again, it's not too early to exclude the possibility, was the team not a dumpster fire in 2012 despite 5 wins?

I never thought you the negative nancy like most of our fan base... You are acting like we caught luck breaks, all the turnovers in the game were taken and not given, the pass was jumped and batted by our DLine, mcdonalds grabbed the guy running and yanked out the fumble, and the last interception the guy caught it but Stewart just took it from him..

I hate that argument, "if not for turnovers" this and this would have happened, to me that is the equivalent of someone saying if hill (byu'sqb) wasn't scrambling for yards for them they wouldn't have won.. That's a ridiculous argument as that is part of their game.. Turnovers are part of ours, McDonald has had a turnover in 8 consecutive games, Stewart lead the nation in forcing turnovers and since Gibbs took over both last year and this year we've been top 2 in the nation in creating turnovers

2) both second quarter turnovers weren't scoop and scores, our offense had half a field to work, on both. stop trying to portray it like they were running us off the field, then somehow bubbled a snap at their own ten and we picked it up and ran it in twice on some pure luck sequence.

3) if it was a sure blowout, they should have had no problem coming back to run us off the second half, and I watched the second half and that's not what I saw..

4) I guess we are going to exclude all the lucky breaks they got? The dropped wide open td, the PI call on ambles that took away a different TD that could have easily gone either way, the 2 missed PAT, the bobbled snap that made us miss a chip shot field goal

Stop trying to take away credit from our team.. I'll be honest I hate out fanbase, I never seen such a negative atmosphere after a comfortable blowout, it's gotten so old

Temple and Memphis don't look bad. USF and UConn coaches are too conservative. Now if you want to talk bad, then let's talk Tulsa.

What was the question? Was it not whether or not UH is a dumpster fire this year? I don't think it is but we don't have a large enough sample size yet to exclude the possibility. The best performance was actually in a loss at BYU and outside of the last three minutes of the first half, UH was dominated (though they showed plenty of heart). Otherwise, there was the worst loss since the one to Texas State where the team looked woefully unprepared coming out of summer camp, an absolute layup and a win over UNLV that in some ways wasn't as impressive as the final score (but credit where credit is due, it was a rout).

It's not being negative but more realistic, Levine has had too many bombs in his career to be trusted at this point unless he proves otherwise.

I don't think that panicstricken has seen many of those teams that he mentioned play this year.

USF played better than I was expecting today, at least on defense.

I don't know what to say about SMU.

USF played about like I thought that they would play. Here were my picks for the week.

My issue with Taggart and Diaco is that they will not open up their playbooks. They run the same predictable boring plays over and over even though they know that the only way that they are going to win is by opening up their playbooks.

June left the cupboard bare.

It will take a charismatic young coach to turn this around. And he better recruit DFW.

Hate to disagree but cinci doesn't look like they should even be on the same field as these guys. It's still the 1st Qtr but wow...
