$1M a year? Hmmm, definitely not earning that paycheck this year.

Three straight solid years and three straight bowl victories after decades of miserable failure. I'm not ready to go postal on the man just yet.
Just saying for this year. Those solid years have got him here, but I'm sure if he doesn't pick it up soon and have his team looking halfway prepared, there may be some grumbling about his pay raise.

Grumbling comes with the territory. They're grumbling today about Les Miles, I'm sure.

Hud's the best thing to happen to Cajun football since I've been following the team and I was seated at Cajun field for the first game played there back in the 70's. I think $1MM is a very reasonable salary at our current level to not only attract top talent, but perhaps keep them for more than a year or two.

After he's lost a pile of games we should have won, and seems to have no solution to the problem, I'll start to question his abilities. But I'm no where near there yet.

UL has been out scored 138-44 in the last three games. They are not competing in OOC play. As the preseason unanimous choice to win the conference, I would expect more. They are easily the biggest surprise.

I am not sure how Huds $1 million salary helps attract top talent?

Haven't read the comments, but don't sleep on ULL. They slipped badly in the rivalry game, but the others are what I expected. They will make some noise this year.

Every year someone who looks like road kill ends being in the hunt. Cajuns have the horses to do that.

The Cajuns are on the verge of making a QB change and will right the ship.

If Fritz gets a bowl/victory next season. PJ continues to be mediocre at Tech and he's got two years left on the ol' contract. After next season, Fritz would be a good transitional coach for Tech to move away from traditional option football with. He's already proven that.

THAT is what will start keeping me up at night as we improve and gain momentum! 03-tired

Well, First GT is looking pretty good this year in the race for the ACC Coastal. I wouldn't be surprised if they goto the ACC champ. game.

Second: What Fritz is doing is so much more main stream now, I'm afraid of just about any team who is looking for a Coach that has the $ to begin discussions.

And finally - if your dreaded fears took place and Tech did steal Fritz. That means PJ would be available. We could make history as probably the only two programs in FBS history to "swap" coaches. And we would be just FINE with PJ at the helm. Without the recruiting restrictions of GT, PJ would be a BEAST in this league. Jmop. We know the offense transition would go well.

I'm skeptical about that. Not saying it isn't needed; just don't think it will happen anytime soon, muchless "on the verge" of changing. But Haack needs some "real" reps in games, not just mop up time. 07-coffee3

RE: More surprising: GS or ULL
Did I expect more from the team. Yes. I will say that I expected us to be 2-2 at this point with the only loss I wasn't planning on was Tech. I think Tech came in with a lot of emotion and the Cajuns went in thinking they were going to win the game without emotion. Needless to say it didn't work. I don't think it worked for Tech against Northwestern this weekend either. My biggest disappointment so far has been our offense. I think we have too much talent on the offense (even without Robinson) to perform as poorly as we have. Broadway needs to play better.

With all that being said, conference is always a different animal. IF our offense can finish some drives and IF they can figure out how to get the ball longer than 5 yards downfield on a pass play I still like our chances in the conference. Right now I'd pick ASU, but I'm not counting us out just yet.

Would have to say Louisiana right now. Am actually surprised that GS is 2-2 right now.
Thought they would have beaten NCSU by 3 or so.

It wasn't just emotion that hurt UL against Tech. Tech has a hand full of contributors that were not part of the team or didn't factor in their plans last season that are having big seasons. Tech QB Sokol was an unknown after washing out at his previous stop. Houston Bates didn't set the world on fire in the Big10 on a very mediocre Illinois defense and Paul Turner hadn't really done much at Tech since his transfer from LSU. All three have played huge roles in their wins over UL and UNT. And Manny Diaz put on a clinic defensively that the UL coaching staff couldn't overcame during the game.

Emotion can help you early in a game, but it can't be sustained, it comes down to X & O's and Jims & Joes.

I hope they don't figure it out before we play them in a few weeks. Need payback for last years beatdown.

We are one or two adjustments from being a really good football team again. Will the staff make them is the biggest question mark.

Momentum is soooo underrated! The Loser Tech game threw you guys for a loop.
But as anyone can tell you, those 'rival' games are always up for grabs. Anyone can beat anyone.

Yall will get the momentum back. And I hope yall stick with Broadway.

The Cajuns will be ok we got a week to lick our wounds and get it together. The LaTech game will help us because I don't think we will look past anyone, there are no for sure victories although every remaining game is winnable but if you overlook anyone you will get your teeth kicked in. We will be ok We are Louisiana Ragin Cajuns.

I am done with Broadway personally. He has been terrible all season and can't complete a pass further than 10 yards.

But I would like us to run an offense that is more similar to Baylor or A&M.

RE: More surprising: GS or ULL
I think ULL is more suprising because of all of the pre-season hype. I was like many who bought into the "in the hunt for an access bowl" talk going on so for me a least much was expected of ULL.

I had confidence that GS could compete and win and we will see if they can continue playing at this level or not. My original prediction for GS was 6-6 so until we win our 7th game I'm not taking anything for granted.
