Not a single marquee matchup. Missouri - USCe could have been but Mizzou blew that.

What will you watch?

Gameday will probably be Arkiesaw vs TAMU.

Congrats. Keep doing what you are doing as it's obvious once again us between the two of us to carry this conference.

I had my doubts about Lakip ever since he took a leave of absence from the team during his true freshman year. I imagine during this week's practice we'll give true FR Alex Spence a shot. He's the kicker who won the Shrine Bowl for SC last December.

I thought Clemson had the better team than FSU. I thought Clemson would lose but I didn't know how. It's rare to see such a snake-bitten program. The last fumble was a fluke, but the play selection on 4th in OT was too slow developing.

This looks like the type of Clemson squad that should beat USC by two touchdowns, but will inevitably turn the ball over 5 times for another wtf loss to the OBC.

I watch NC State and FSU until it becomes painful, and I will watch Clemson and UNC in hopes of Clemson bounce back.

First off props to Kaplony on class after the loss. But my post is directed towards the quoted poster.

How the heck is Clemson better than FSU? FSU just beat them without their best player and one of the best QB's in the country!

FSU screwed things up as well. Maguire threw a couple of TERRIBLE interceptions. He was absolutely awful for most of the game and Clemson was allowed to just pin their ears back because of this. The entire Clemson defensive plan changes if Winston plays in that game. I honestly think FSU could have been up 21-3 at halftime with Winston in there. . Maguire was that bad and Winston makes that much of a difference.

The 1 game suspension was a huge overreaction due to the pathetic media riding FSU while sweeping SEC stuff under the rug (see UF dropping suspensions because of rain and Auburn giving Marshall a half game for pot).

Finebaum can suck it and I hope he cried himself to sleep last night spooning with his Nick Saban inflatable doll.

Let's wait for Clemson to play UNC, NCSU, and Louisville first before we jump to any conclusions about who's good and who's not. Most teams have played only one conference game so far, if at all. Hopefully those will be more telling.

People are really questioning if Clemson is good? So they lost on the road at Georgia (game slipped away in the 4th) and at FSU (OT game). No one else in the country has played a scheduled like that after 3 games. Clemson will be fine. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't lose again.

Like any game, your perception of how the FSU/Clemson game went probably depends largely on whether you view the world through Garnet/Gold or Orange/White lenses. Did FSU play poorly or did Clemson play great? Did FSU show resolve & heart or did Clemson give the game away? From either viewpoint, FSU overcome a monumental distraction and loss of a very talented QB and Clemson had a chance to win against the #1 team in the nation on the road. The only thing that really matters is FSU 23 and Clemson 17. A really good win for FSU and a very tough loss for Clemson.

I will of course be pulling for Clemson to finish the season without any more losses. Truth be told, I will also be pulling for FSU the rest of the season as they are now the only ACC team with a realistic chance at making the playoffs.

Let me clarify that last statement as I do not want to imply that Clemson and FSU were the only teams that could get to the playoffs. Probably any team that goes undefeated in the ACC would make the playoffs so FSU, Ga Tech, NCSU, and Duke are still in the running. FSU is probably the only ACC team that could make the playoffs with a loss assuming that the loss did not occur in the ACC championship. It's possible other ACC teams could make it with one loss but given the nation's current perception of ACC football, a one loss acc champion (not named FSU) would probably be passed over for an undefeated or one loss champion from every other P5 league.

I think that other than FSU our playoff rep would either be Duke/NCSU winner or GT. Imagine the uproar if it were to be Duke or NC State. Oh lawd.

I don't think Duke could make it to the playoff, even undefeated. Well…... I suppose if they beat FSU in Charlotte they would have a chance, but I don't think ESPN would like that idea too much

The only other team that has a chance, and its a stretch, is Georgia Tech. If they run through the ACC and beat Georgia they would have a great shot at it, but again…….none of their wins have been overly impressive.

Talk to me about State if they beat FSU

To be fair, that game was delayed for a super long time due to storms and UM was already down 16 with less than half a quarter to go. The game had a good attendance at the start and I imagine had the storms not been terrible most would've stayed.

Any ACC team that is undefeated and conference champs will make the playoff.

As far as State and FSU, no one need worry about that at all. If State were to win that game they would lose late in the season to WF or UNC. State does not have the depth or the talent to stay with FSU or Clemson in back to back games. State needs to get through the two upcoming losses without losing Brissett and half the offensive line - that will be victory - having all our players able to play against BC.

I belive this. NC State was lucky as hell to win some of those early games. They're not good.
