tulane isnt a good team now...but they'll be competitive next year and a bowl team...and will compete for the title in 2years ..they make mistakes but are so young..they have a good qb just young and makes some bad mistakes , great rbs just young..theyll learn

i honestly feel they put too much on tanner lee .. too many throws down field for a guy with not that much experience, give him some easy passes with the occasional down field throws , and rely on the rbs so more

The offensive play-calling in general hasn't been good. Just now we entirely abandoned the run, which got us however many consecutive first downs, and we started throwing it and didn't complete a single pass. I mean...ADJUST for christ's sake.

These teams aren't pushing us around anymore.

We just make too many mistakes to win though.

Exactly, and the TV just proved that we no longer have a size issue. They put up our average offensive line size, and it's an inch taller and a pound less than the average NFL LINE.

I'm tired of thinking "next year" though. Obviously we all knew going into this season it would likely be fewer wins even with improvement in play, but I'm tired of close losses already. And I'm tired of losing because of stupid mistakes and special plays (which for the record were FIXED LAST YEAR WTH).

Without making excuses, I think we do need to realize just how young our playmakers are (on both sides, really, but specifically on offense).

QB - RS Frosh
HB - RS Frosh, True Frosh
FB - RS Soph
WR - SR and JR, but with 3 True Frosh getting a lot of reps
TE - True Frosh

We're going through some growing pains, a little. Our schedule is also very tough. Started out in conference on the road in week one. ACC Bowl Team. Top 5 FCS team. ACC Top 25/30 team on road. Then we have at Rutgers next week. Then we miss both SMU and USF in the league. its probably a top 50 schedule when its all said and done, which we haven't had in awhile.

It should be all about getting better week in and week out. And we're not done in this one yet. One TD and its a 5 point game.

We aren't handling the controllable issues.
The kicking game is simply neglect. Just didn't put sufficient resources into ensuring its stability.
But long term, obviously our personnel is light years ahead of where it was just 3 years ago.
