On completely different levels. They just started playing football and we've been doing it for 100 years now. This holier than thou Memphis state attitude is hilarious. That must have been the best loss in the history of football from y'all to go from mempiss status to elite status.

Exactly. If UNC-Queen City had been playing ball as long as MTSU I'd be fine with it. Give the Queens maybe 10 years or so and a 40K stadium and that would be a pretty good rivalry.

I agree with the little benefit idea. Memphis and MT are - in terms of the college sports landscape - relatively on equal footing, and the fact that the games aren't that competitive helps to dampen the excitement.

Beed, I think most Mt fans are normally cautious when it comes to pregame bravado, because we have been there and lost games we should have won in the past. But the utter lack of respect that the memphis fans have shown us has gotten us a little defensive. Here's hoping for another CUSA win over a G5 team, and we can close this chapter in our mutual history.

I think a better school for comparison would be App State. They are just now transitioning to FBS but their program has been around for a while. Don't know if ECU has them scheduled though.
