I agree. You should play unc Charlotte every year home and away too.

On completely different levels. They just started playing football and we've been doing it for 100 years now. This holier than thou Memphis state attitude is hilarious. That must have been the best loss in the history of football from y'all to go from mempiss status to elite status.

Exactly. If UNC-Queen City had been playing ball as long as MTSU I'd be fine with it. Give the Queens maybe 10 years or so and a 40K stadium and that would be a pretty good rivalry.

Unfortunately, the P5 has created a football hierarchy and we are trying to move up just as MTSU is. You went from the Sunbelt to CUSA and we went from CUSA to AAC, both positive steps for both programs. With the new playoff, scheduling is crucial and would think scheduling P5 teams for both programs is the thing to do.

As far as you guys leaving with a win on Saturday and not looking back, I have to disagree with you. I tend to believe your drive home will be full of disappointment. Either way, enjoy Tiger Lane as the tailgating should be fun. I think there will be a good turnout for both fan bases.

I agree with you on the P5. It would be fun to continue the series but Stock said the other day he doesn't see it in the near future because of scheduling. We both are scheduling 1 for 1's with P5 programs and to get to the access slot that is what we have to do. I don't think Memphis or MTSU benefit from this series.

Why? It's not like we played each other before this series.

Well you're an idiot because MT owns a17-8-1 record so obviously we have.

I meant to add regularly. I guess I'm an idiot. I will try harder.

I agree with the little benefit idea. Memphis and MT are - in terms of the college sports landscape - relatively on equal footing, and the fact that the games aren't that competitive helps to dampen the excitement.

Beed, I think most Mt fans are normally cautious when it comes to pregame bravado, because we have been there and lost games we should have won in the past. But the utter lack of respect that the memphis fans have shown us has gotten us a little defensive. Here's hoping for another CUSA win over a G5 team, and we can close this chapter in our mutual history.

You do realize that members of your fan base have started at least 4 threads on our board. I'm not counting the AAC board, but you keep that cautious bravado and defensive mentality.

Space was right... No matter what the results are, the MT fans (except me) ultimately win as they get to leave this god awful city!

Just went over to memphistigers.org and didn't see a single thread started by a middle fan. We are playing with the funny shaped brown ball, not the round orange ball. 5-1, 17-8-1... Run along home junior.

and even though i told my good buddy kajunraider i hope ya'll lose every remaining game ima change that for this weekend and pull for the conference. 04-cheers

I would expect for you to want us to lose every conference game, but out of conference I want us all to win everything. All about them conference dollas.

I think a better school for comparison would be App State. They are just now transitioning to FBS but their program has been around for a while. Don't know if ECU has them scheduled though.
