Current update from LA
The week has been fantastic. Did Hollywood/Beverly Hills/Santa Monica/Venice yesterday. Doing Huntington Beach today. Disneyland tomorrow. Reagan Library and the game on Saturday. But enough of me. I've run into 3 Tiger fans so far. The weather will be sunny and 75 Saturday. Perfect weather and a perfect time for a Tiger victory. Memphis doesn't come to LA to lose. Never have.

Don't take advantage of those people out there just because they are from the big city.

I'm jealous. Have a great time, and Go Tigers Go!

I used to walk over to the Farmers Market at lunch when I was working in the area. It was OK but I just didn't get it. Perhaps now that I'm older I would appreciate it more. If you are at the farmers market then you might as well eat at Canters just up the street. The tar pits are down the road I seem to recall.

But did you have time to take in important sites. Such as the model train store, the Cheesecake Factory and has Stuarts comic book store been reopened yet?

Jed and Granny are dead, but here's a little known fact about Jethro (Max Baer, Jr.). He attended Christian Brothers High School.

Check out the two houses that Elvis owned. Ironically, all those years later the house Michael Jackson died in was like two doors down from one of Elvis' Hollywood homes.

You'll have to visit here 357 days for 2 straight years as a tourist to get everything in. Too much to see and too much damn traffic to get to and fro. Oh and yah, you definitely will not have to worry about rain.

Anyone know where the football team will be staying?

Ran into a UCLA fan in Huntington Beach today. Had nice things to say. He said a lot of UCLA fans wish a home and home basketball game was tied to it.

Just added to my Bucket List. If one wanted to take a vacation along the whole Pacific Coast Highway in California with reasonable stops all along the coast only, how much time would it take?

No! uh uh! Really? When? My BF will be so happy.

When I was a wee child in the 1960's, one of my teachers here in Memphis told us she had Granny as a camp counselor and she was awesome.
