Just got back to the room. My God it was hot in the East upper deck. At least two people I saw passed out. I know it's all been said but if we don't fumble on the goal line, we win. We should have gone for the 4th and 2. It sucks to lose a game that IMO we should have won even if we are short on depth All that being said, GS is not going down easy to anyone this year. Thanks SB fans for the kind words. I also clean up on my bets!

This changes things for me. Check Yosef THANKS! Pull for the team that has 18 more schollys on the field and in someone elses conference. If the more informed among the App fans has this mind set look for the reality check from me going forward. This guy represents your school too often on this board unchecked. He's a troll and those smiling at the immaturity should rethink the value of a couple more fans attending a game. You have your work cut out for you going forward. Pray that Gstate continues to suck...03-banghead

I like you am really concerned but I'm hoping it was a depth issue ( which is expected)and not a conditioning one (which is unacceptable). I feel good and bad at same time. In my opinion we outplayed an improved NC State squad but my opinion is worth diddly I know. Where it counts ( the scoreboard) we lost and losing to anybody just sucks.

It was a disappointing loss and the defense just couldn't get it done in the 4th quarter. But the exposure should help recruiting and the school in general. The GSU-NC State game was televised on KDOC Channel 56, an over-the-air independent station in LA this morning. This means it was available on every TV in Southern California. It was the only college football game available on every TV in Southern California this morning. I even saw a Georgia Southern University promotional TV commercial during the game. That is not something you see every day in Southern California.

My sister inlaw is a wine make in Napa Valley and she messaged me that she was watching the game as well. Great exposure! Sure beats GPTV SoCon coverage.

Talked with a couple of app fans at the game today and they were very supportive of GS. I was listening to the app game on the radio and and keeping them updated. Good SB fans!

Yea, I troll constantly. Or maybe I just call what I see friend. Didn't say I'm not going to root for geo south this next weekend just saying I have family ties to Ncstate and so I was split in this game and so what i considered a dirty move pushed me one way instead of something else pushing me the other.

"dirty move"??...yeah, i guess we intentionally stopped the clock for state and preserve as much time for them as possible.

One final thing I will say, this was the worst atmosphere for a P5 college football town I have ever seen. The ncst people that stayed at the stadium for the whole game acted like they either lost or could care less. Not a single comment such as good game, we beat your ass, nothing at all. And no fans at the local bar and grills. Sad, really sad.

No atta boys to be had here. No excuse for not finishing on that team.

Yep. Sick or moral victories. We had them on the ropes and let them get away.

It was actually really impressive guys. You were a 20+ point dog and led all the way to the last two minutes, having a big lead at times.

You played really well but you ultimately lost a game you were expected to.

Still, it was a fantastic performance for a team with a depth gap that is transitioning. It looks like GSU may just have brought some of their FCS magic with them.

Well we have an opponent coming this Saturday in Savannah St. that should be just what the doctor ordered after coming off such a heartbreaking loss today.

For those commenting about injuries...why would we choose our best defensive player and preseason all-SBC linebacker to fake an injury? And why take him out for more than one play? And why stop the clock? Kind of low class to boo an injured player.

Those injuries weren't faked. We are a poor conditioned team this season. It was clear almost from jump street. Still, should have won that game. 0-3 in the red zone.

SSU is going to be crushed next week..

so dissapointed in the loss. fumble, fumble, fumble.... had it and couldn't finish. been a long time since ive been to a game that hot. wondered why we didn't spread the field more, too much up the middle.
positives for me, kicking game much improved, running looks good, not worried about the qb play.

dissapointments, defense, kick returns, questionable play calls.

i will say that based on what I've seen in conference play that we will win at least 5 conference games.
good luck to everyone else. losing sucks, don't care who it is to.

So are you blaming Monken since most of our starters we're recruited by him?

Yes. I'm blaming the coach that never had a poorly conditioned team that left 9 months ago. Clearly his fault.

North Carolina from Raleigh to the coast can have a weirdly humid
atmosphere @ first of September.

No, but under Monken 5-6 starters would have been out because they were injured in practice and NC State would have won by 3 TD's.

Have to say that it's been years since I've seen a Georgia Southern team this well coached. 04-rock

The lack of penalties was very encouraging.
