Don't programs typically boast about their own NCAA bids, Sweet 16's, Final Four's or Titles?? Is it a new thing to boast about conference accomplishments?? ...

Yeah, I found that a bit strange too. "Look at what the people we're competing against have done!"

You've gotta do what you gotta do....... I think we have to sell the conference in order to get the players to accomplish those things.

In basketball? That's not much of an accomplishment haha.
I'm not sure UCF has ever fielded a "good" basketball team. I can only remember being ranked once and I don't think we've ever gotten into the teens.
We really need a new coach to turn our basketball team around.

Smart move by ECU since they haven't historically done that much on the hardwood and this conference is new in name, but essentially has Big East bones (with three old Big East members in it and the old league office still intact). Sure, 4 of those championships are UConn's and 2 of those are Cincy's, but the message being sent is that teams in this league can win national championships in basketball. So, why not at ECU? ECU can build it and they need to sell that message to kids walking in the door and looking at that wall.
At 6, The American has more national champions in hoop than the Big 12 (5) and the new Big East (3). The MWC lags further behind with just 2 and the A10 lags even further behind with just 1. Also, it is interesting to note that The American is there with the ACC and SEC as conferences that have won titles consistently in recent years. The PAC-12 last won one in 1997 and the Big Ten last won one in 2002.

Schools of The American are smart to sell the narrative that this conference wins national championships in basketball.

I highly recommend it! All chairbacks is awesome, especially on the those really hot early season games. However, you would lose a portion of your seating capacity by doing so. PJCS's capacity is 55,000 all chair back. The industry standard for chair back is around 21" per seat, while aluminum bleachers is around 18". Comparitively speaking, PJCS measures out to be around the size of a 64,000 seat stadium
55,000 x 21" = 1,155,000"
1,155,000 / 18" = 64,167
From what I found, Dowdy Ficklin is 10,200 chair back, 39,800 bleachers. If you switched to all chair backs the capacity would probably drop to around 44,000 (assuming no further expansion).

The field looks great!
As for making all of the seats chair-backs: that will not happen. We plan on making further enhancements to our stadium by 2016 but I don't think that we'll expand it by much, if at all. I think that we'll add a new press box and some new club-level seating and hopefully continue to improve the looks and functionality of our stadium.
I'm really, really glad to have the "A" on our field instead of "CUSA". That may sound harsh... but it is how I feel.

For recruiting purposes it shows they'll be playing the best. Take it as a compliment. Lebo is doing his best to build something here. Glad admin pulling all stops.

Nope. All members of the SEC are constantly slobbering each others knob. They all talk about 12 kajillion or however many football championships they have.....which makes them all better by association. Slow your roll on ECU man.....we're trying.
