It wouldn’t surprise me one bit.

We have manufactured a way to play small for the past 5 years and most of the fanbase appears to love it.

Get real! Can't you count? Austin and Shaq is our starters (and no Shaq didn't lose weight or is playing the 3 according to he himself). That leaves 3 starting positions and we having even mention yet Nick King, Hawkins or Iverson who are Forwards Calvin is a PF. We have 3 PGs and 3 SGs with Burrell maybe a Hybrid G/F. Last year we played mostly a 3 guard lineup and that was mainly because they were our most experienced and skill players on the court. This season our most experienced and skill players will be our frontcourt fowards hands down because most of them at least played D1 competition compared to most of our guards who never played D1 level competition ever

Austin and Shaq are keys, for sure, and Hawkins will help inside as well. But Big Dom was our only real "enforcer", who could match up with other large centers/forwards. I personally hope this means he is transferring for a year to work on grades and will be coming back for his senior year.

Oh I agree with what you are saying but until I see it actually happening I wouldn’t bet the farm on it. Last season Shaq & Austin were very productive when the guards would get them the ball. But there were games that Shaq & Austin didn’t get many touches and some where they did not reach double digit shot attempts combined.

And as for counting we had 4 guards last season and now we have 6. Inexperience or not I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see more than 2 on the floor together.

That assumes he was going to be in shape and earn minutes.

I had high hopes, but that was never a lock with him.

He's been on campus for a year, if he wasn't going to be in shape coming into his Sophomore campaign that makes the staff look just as bad.

Always the spin back to the staff. Are they supposed to duck tape his mouth so he can't eat? Or are they supposed to tell him to get it together or take it away. Sounds like they did.

Hate to see him go. Thought he'd provide a much needed lift when the physically challenged inside guys would get pushed around. Maybe there will be others to emerge this year to take that role. Sure hope so. Nothing made me cringe more than seeing the Tigers get pushed around by a physical Big 10 school. Hope Dom gets his path clear. Nothing worse than hearing someone say "I could have been...."

Duck Tape is a brand of Duct Tape. Says so right on the label.

That said, whatever happened with Woodson, there was no guarantee he was going to contribute beyond Stan Simpson minutes this year.

An incident like this wouldn't be a blip at a BCS program yet both players have to transfer from Memphis?

NEXT

Because a woman may have gotten hit.
Can you see the negative press Memphis would have gotten if that were the case.
A football AND a basketball player hit a staff member?
Oh yeah...other schools would have a valuable scouting tool against us if that is how it went down. Do you notice how low key and quiet the investigation was handled by the UofM?
I'm betting that Bowen kept it that way on purpose.

What situation? 03-wink

Saw somewhere where JP wasn't sure King could cut it at the 3, so probably.
