Seems the Illini don't think much of the Bobcats. Have us as 42 point dogs....

RE: Score Predictions
I'd never lay that many points while betting on a Big 10 team, especially when they're playing a southern team. La Tech drilled them a couple of years ago. Tech was good then, but still. It'll be closer than that.

That is nuts. They aren't that good.

Yeah we played Tech that year too (2012). It was a shoot out that we ended up on the short end of (62-55) with a still FCS (talent wise) laden squad.

None of us get any respect.
Lot of it has to do with how conceited the P-5 teams are.

That ain't the Vegas line or I would be all over it.

I guess I can't fault the guy too much. He is just a hype man and not a real journalist. I wouldn't be surprised if he picks the Illini to win every game.

That's surprising... way too high.
Michigan is favored by 35 against us.

I have a feeling you might be getting Michigan's A-Game. Michigan will probably cover the spread. I'll be surprised if App scores more than 10.

Sadly, I have to agree here. You guys really embarrassed the crap out of them in 2007. Hell, the game is recognized as arguably the biggest upset in college sports, if not all sports. They are going to be after blood.

I don't bet on college sports, but I'd put a Benjamin on Texas State with that spread.

Don't worry, app fans expect a bloodbath.... It's one thing to beat them when they are sleeping but another when they hate your guts and are wanting revenge

Do you really think that game in 2007 is going to affect how Michigan players play you this year? Not a single Michigan player was on that team and they are two coaching staffs removed from Lloyd Carr.

I think the administration will push it or coaching staff... Point is they won't not be ready. As much as people claim that game is now ancient history, anyone I've talked to remembers it like yesterday, and I don't just mean app fans or people in North Carolina, I believe Michigan remembers it pretty well

RE: Score Predictions
Michigan fans hate hearing about App State beating them for the last few years.
They are a proud bunch and pretty conceited group. Since they think so highly
of themselves you had better believe they look forward to do anything to win this
game by a ton.

We both know that the 2007 game has been brought up constantly when referenced to Appalachian State. I have already heard during a preseason football show when talking of the 2014 ASU-UM game the reference of that 2007 game between commentators. Not quite the ribbing/digging that University of Florida received.

However it plays out, I hope you guys beat the crap out of them for two reasons:
(1) You guys are our conference mate, and
(2) Growing up in Ohio, I HATE Michigan!

The only thing keeping me from wanting to make a wager on this game is not being sure if last year was just Satterfield getting ready for this year or if you guys are about to crash and burn.

The fans may want to run you guys off the field but the players won't be any more motivated than they will against a weak B1G opponent. And Hoke isn't going to throw everything and the kitchen sink at you. It just wouldn't be smart just so fans can feel some vindication from the loss.
