Week 5 happens to be a bye week. Maybe 4 games was named because it really gets him 2 extra weeks recovery til game 5(week 6).

Suspension has always made sense. There's no sign of injury and they have been saying 4 weeks repeatedly. We know how they reported injuries last year...it doesn't fit their style to give an exact 7-8 week return date if he's hurt.

While the time table makes sense for a suspension, he would still be practicing, his reps would just be minimized. I feel like when Tyrone Clark was suspended for an entire year he still practiced.

He kind of did. He ran the scout team.

That's what I thought. So if Cam was just suspended, he would still be practicing, IMO. Maybe he sits for a couple days and then practices, but if he's not practicing, I'd lean towards injury.

Keep in mind they don't have a scout team until they start prepping for the Hoes, though.

Yeah, I get that. But wouldn't he still be doing individual drills? And I fell like you would know more 7, didn't a source say he was injured, or are they retracting that statement?

Retract my statement, I retread the thread. I didn't see it beforehand. I apologize.

I tweeted Nitz directly....he got back to me, no breaking news or anything...

Quote:Steve Nitz ‏@SNitz_DDC 1h

@Chicago_Meatbll I've seen him out at practice the past few days. If he was suspended he wouldn't be out there.

Steve Nitz ‏@SNitz_DDC 1h

@Chicago_Meatbll NIU has also been truthful about suspensions in the past (Lemon, Clark). Not sure why they'd lie about it.

Maybe he's 8 months pregnant and they figure he'll be ready to play by the beginning of October

Tyrone Clark was suspended for the entire 2011 season and practiced with the team.

The only thing I don't like about not giving any information out is that it leads to rampant speculation, and understandably so.

Cameron is injured. Any other speculation/rumor/inference is incorrect. Coach Carey said he would be out "at least" four games.

Giving decisive information helps to end or at least curb speculation.

I was told by an inside source that he is injured. It also sounds like the coaches want it kept under wraps. FYI.
