GoApp70 you do realize that we're the only ones jazzed about the new digs. Kind words from the nicer among us but die hard Appy and GS fans are the only ones truly enjoying the upgrades. Think with a few good wins we will not be the only two jazzed about the new digs. Could see both schools fan bases exploding with enthusiasm when that happens.
The big day finally here, and now we are both FBS.

Was so tired of playing big name schools with one hand tied behind our backs. Twenty-two additional scholarships is a lot of good additional back ups. Maybe from time to time now we can kind of rest easier not worrying about having to give the lead away in the 4th quarters because our starters are exhausted.
At least one prayer has been answered.

They are done pretty much done with construction with the exception of the field of dreams and will be hosting quite a few events in the stadium in the next couple of weeks so I wouldn't be shocked if they are down for good. They should probably kill the links to the feeds though.

Yeah, I don't know that for a fact it was just speculation but it hasn't been up in about 2 weeks.

I LOVE that they used HAM's number. I think 8 and 3 should be on most promotional pictures

I totally get the sloping bleachers that seem to weigh heavy in the center. Befitting for the more intoxicated and confused and for those who've grown tired of walking up and down hills all day.

The GSU campus is very pretty especially with the amount and variety of trees and plant life but outside of putting a stadium right next to an ocean you cant beat a mountain view. The stadium however is quickly becoming a different story. Once the South stands get expanded with luxury suites it is game over unless you plan on tearing down the erector set construction and go with concrete.

One of the things I find interesting about the rivalry is that both campuses are beautiful, but they couldn't be more different.

Love it or hate it from now on metal will be the building material of choice for KBS. We should have enclosed the stands and hid the support structure. The extreme weather conditions in Boone are simply too hard on concrete. The lower sections were replaced in 1995 and are already crumbling. The upper section on the West side has held up better, but starting to show some wear. It should have been replaced before the athletics center was built.
