To me, Charlotte is ACC territory. You know how BC fans felt when they heard Notre Dame was playing a "home" game in Boston? That's how I feel when an SEC team plays a Big XII team in Charlotte.
IMO there should be an ACC team playing in Charlotte at the start of EVERY season. There should NEVER even be any openings for 2 teams from another conference(s) to play there!
Raid the B12 for West Virginia
That would make WVU very happy, but nobody else.
+1. Instead, let's raid the SEC for Tennessee.
If you were going to raid the SEC would Tennessee be in the top 5?
NO, but they'd be ahead of WVU!
Top SEC teams (if I could choose): Auburn, Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Texas A+M, S Carolina, Florida, Tennessee (No interest in Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Mississippi St, Arkansas or Missouri)

Same can be said for Syracuse playing in the Meadowlands, no ACC team in NJ, but here they are playing 6 hours from home, calling it a home game......

The Meadowlands are less than 4 hours from Syracuse and and its part of the NYC Metro.

TN would be my #1 team to get from the SEC. #2 would be Florida. #3 Chickenland. #I'll-Burn-This-Place-To-The-Ground-First is UGAg.
Just curious as to why a few of you ACC fans would prefer UT over Vandy or Auburn?

I agree. Overall it would seem Vandy is the better fit.

For one thing, they know how to put fannies in the seats. They would be by far the highest FB attendance, and would rank just below Syracuse, Louisville and UNC in hoops attendance. And they are more centrally located vis a vis the ACC.

Yeah, but you aren't part of the NY metro area, and I thought that was the point of the post - teams coming in from the outside and playing in areas that aren't their home turf.....

I polled several fan bases and the #1 choice for an SEC rivalry game among UNC, NC State and Va Tech was Tennessee. Not surprising since it's the closest SEC team not named South Carolina or Georgia (which already have ACC rivals).

Well if it bothers you, maybe you can have your Rutgers adm schedule some games at Ralph Wilson Stadium (Buffalo Bills Stadium). That'll teach SU for infringing on your turf.
