Tennessee, West Virginia to Open 2018 Season in Charlotte

05-nono
To me, Charlotte is ACC territory. You know how BC fans felt when they heard Notre Dame was playing a "home" game in Boston? That's how I feel when an SEC team plays a Big XII team in Charlotte. 03-banghead

IMO there should be an ACC team playing in Charlotte at the start of EVERY season. There should NEVER even be any openings for 2 teams from another conference(s) to play there! 03-hissyfit

That would make WVU very happy, but nobody else.

NO, but they'd be ahead of WVU!

Top SEC teams (if I could choose): Auburn, Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Texas A+M, S Carolina, Florida, Tennessee (No interest in Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Mississippi St, Arkansas or Missouri)

Yes. Last time I checked Va Tech is still an ACC team. I'm ticked at games where neither team is ACC, but it's played in Charlotte. Or would you like Tennessee and WVU to just take whatever NC high school players they want? (as opposed to Alabama taking them)

Same can be said for Syracuse playing in the Meadowlands, no ACC team in NJ, but here they are playing 6 hours from home, calling it a home game......

I understand State didn't want to cancel their game with the Scotland County JV team.

The Meadowlands are less than 4 hours from Syracuse and and its part of the NYC Metro.

For one thing, they know how to put fannies in the seats. They would be by far the highest FB attendance, and would rank just below Syracuse, Louisville and UNC in hoops attendance. And they are more centrally located vis a vis the ACC.

Yeah, but you aren't part of the NY metro area, and I thought that was the point of the post - teams coming in from the outside and playing in areas that aren't their home turf.....

I polled several fan bases and the #1 choice for an SEC rivalry game among UNC, NC State and Va Tech was Tennessee. Not surprising since it's the closest SEC team not named South Carolina or Georgia (which already have ACC rivals).

Well if it bothers you, maybe you can have your Rutgers adm schedule some games at Ralph Wilson Stadium (Buffalo Bills Stadium). That'll teach SU for infringing on your turf.
