Huge transfer pickup for Temple Football
Former Florida TE Colin Thompson is transferring to Temple. Has 3 years of eligibility remaining. He was an Under Armour All American.

We really need a good TE to make our offense go, so assuming he is good health-wise, he will be a major addition.

Nice get. I'm guessing he wanted to move closer to home?

I dont know if that was the ultimate factor in his decision. He was looking at Penn State, but also UCF and Stanford.

Unless there was some unforeseen circumstance I'm not aware of, yes.

I dont know if that was the ultimate factor in his decision. He was looking at Penn State, but also UCF and Stanford.

UCF spoke to him when he signaled a desire to leave UF, but my understanding is that he was never offered a scholarship due to major concerns with his injuries and his ability to fully recover (and stay healthy for an actual season).

Good luck to him at Temple. Hopefully he can get healthy and finally see the field.

We've had players like that before. One of them is in the NFL after being told he'd never be able to play again.

I don't know how you turn down a player that's rated #4 at his position and had the offers he had. I realize that the foot injury has lingered, but the potential reward VS risk factor is very high. Really a good transfer to have coming in.

Perhaps his foot issue could a positive affect on his ability to be eligible immediately????

I think there's some tricky language that could make him eligible immediately like if UF didn't clear him but Temple did and UF released him from his scholarship because they couldn't clear him. I could be wrong about that, but either way, I would assume this means our doctors cleared him.

Regardless of reasons he chose to sign with Temple, football competitive improvements are definitely on the rise all through out this league.

Well done and congrats Temple

If Kareem can convince Shareef Miller, Neal Nelson, DJ Moore, etc. we could be looking at a top 35-40 class.

UCF still has a reduced number of scholarships due to sanctions. Players like this are what you have to miss in situations like this. It's why it's called a penalty.

Nelson is committed to UCF.

Wait 'til he flips Kareem and the rest. 05-stirthepot
