That Lawsons father was smart. He knew Memphis, and by a greater extent Pastner, would have to give in to the demands. Pastner recruiting has already taken a massive hit, and this is just something he had no choice in and the memphis community knows it.

If we only had more players like Jackson and Will Barton, we would have likely been elite level...so- ky- suck it.

They continue to operate as though no one else can enjoy their school without paying some homage to them first- and while Narcissist has had a nice run up there, it is hardly unique.

Enough.

We have been good, are good and will be good for the foreseeable future. Some of those years will likely be elite level...some may end up as first round NIT losses. Perhaps we even lift our skirt and sell our soul for someone who we all universally hate.

This was a great hire. Anybody that disagrees is either jealous they didn't get the kid/kids or hillybilly from Kentucky/Tennessee that has no brains.

I kind of really don't care as much about Kentucky, Cal, whatever.

It's been 5 years, I'll certainly not root for UK/Cal anytime soon (and will admittedly still complain in a weak moment), but at a certain point we've got to decide that caring about this is no longer a real constructive path.

We just signed up a coach that will likely bring in some 4*/5* players and help with recruiting. This is good, smart tactics. Other fan bases may not like it, but in this case, if we we didn't hire Lawson, some other program would have.

People can quibble with the amount / level of success we have had under Pastner, but there HAS been success and dumpster fire would not apply.

There is work to be done, but the trajectory seems to be looking up. Even if this year we might have a pretty green backcourt...

We have blamed the players for the last 4 years. This is a new group of players, so Pastner has no excuse if the team looks like a deer caught in headlights when we play against more physical teams. Kentucky fans are right whether we agree or not.

Is my eye sight going bad or are UK fans complaining that someone else's coach is a good recruiter but not a good coach? That is the exact description of X. His bench coaching cost us a perfect season and NC. He has always been a so so bench coach and really did not start winning big here until he installed a high school coache's offense.

We had a LOT of posse' intervention over the past 4 years. Players have been listening to people in their groups that they should not have been listening to. That group of problems is now gone. We are about to see things go to the next level. The person who will be whispering in the players ears will also be yelling in them on the court in practice. We will not have people working against the program and feeding the players heads of a bunch of BS.

It's really comical to hear SEC fans ridicule our school for being dirty, while their conference has such a good track record for operating within the rules.

They never miss a chance to degrade the University of Memphis, the city itself, and the youth who grow up here.

It's a classic case of envy, and I love it.

I just love it because we're not even a rival to them. True that the Tigers lead in the all time series 1-0, but that was Cal vs Gillespie.
They just can't get over it, after all these years.
