I think Georgia Southern will be competitive and given our favorable schedule this year I will not rule out a title.

But I would not go as far as saying we will win it all; just happy to be in the conversation.

That Article had such a heavy Georgia Southern Slant it wasn't even funny. Writer has to be a GS grad. He didn't even mention the Cajuns in the entire thing.

Well if Georgia Southern is our biggest obstacle hopefully we can sleep better at night.

If Georgia Southern wins the Sun Belt, they will have to have had one great defense. Doubt that offense comes together quickly under Ruse.

It's gonna be a fun year to be a Belt fan.

If either Ga So or App finish in the top half of the final conference standings it'll be groundbreaking news. Neither will win over 3 games in conference.

This ^. For those concerned about the conference being competitive with the new FCS wannabees, welcome to perception. Perception in this case may be a long way from reality but if the rest can continue to be competitive and lead the P5 and if App and GS come any where near expectations WE"RE IN A GOOD SPOT as a conference. The pressure is definitely on us.

well, the odds are neither finish with more than 5 wins, though GS has a much easier schedule than App, so its possible they might get that 5th or even 6th win. I'm hoping App can get that 4th conference win, its going to be tough especially since whoever made up the conference schedule has us going to the top 2 teams on back to back weeks with only 5 days rest between the two...thanks for freckin nothing.

Fritz could be the ruler of Statesboro if he gets a Sun Belt championship in year 1. These are the conference games I give us at least a 50-50 shot of winning: Idaho. Ga. State, NMSU, and App. St. We are due for a win over App. St. and we do get them at home.

These conference games I say our chances are less than 50/50: South Alabama, Troy, Texas St. and ULM.

App. St. does have a tougher conference schedule than we do. There is no doubt of that. Ark. St. and Louisiana better get in their shots at them this year because when they both go to Boone in 2015 I can tell them it will not be easy to get out of there with wins. All the Sun Belt schools will learn this but Boone is one difficult place to go and win.

See? When you break it down like that... 4 conference wins isn't unreasonable!

App.. well, those guys have a much tougher road to travel.

this could be a tough season for us, I think we have as much talent as anyone in the conference, but at the end of the season might not have as many wins to show for it, HC Saterfield might have his work cut out for him keeping positive attitudes on the team, well, that is okay, pay our dues this year, then when 2015 rolls around, with all the young talent gaining experience, we will be ready to make a run at the top half of the conference.
