I pretty much let go of any bad feelings I had about Fleck after his press conference last year and I hope he does well, but dude is missing a screw.

Depending on their first touch point for players in their HS career, his target audience could be anywhere from 16-18 years old. My guess is they might think it's pretty cool. I don't think he cares what you guys think.

I guess the idea is ok. The lame part to me is WMU tweeting out pics of all them to espn, etc. Hey, look at me!

He's tries really hard to drum up support/exposure for his program. More power to him. He has this forum clucking at every move he makes so apparently it's working.

As I jump back on the subsidy percentages of MAC schools here comes another school that isnt raising money in many other ways besides taxing their students. WMU is just behind EMU with a 74% subsidy or in dollars $21,260,855 dollars of their athletic budget is coming from student fees and school funds. No doubt the students paid for those fancy business cards.

Business cards aren't crazy expensive. Obviously those were more than a typical business card but there's no reason for this to turn into a subsidy/MAC revenues and expenses discussion.

As far as the cards go? They're tacky...which is what I would expect from PJ and Co.

But unless you know the full story behind all the different cards, aren't you going to wonder what you really have, I am assuming that you will get a full set of cards so you can put two and two together.

In all reality, PJ better go after some wins this season.

I have had a bad feeling that PJ is going to turn WMU around and that they will be a very good team. It will be extra annoying to us Huskies.

PJ at it Again
Lol! It's kinda funny. I like the thinking behind it but I just get confused when I see the card that says row the boat.....with a horse head! I mean I know the whole premise of the saying and all but I just can't see it fitting in my mind. But hey, I ain't gonna piss on his parade. I coach HIGH SCHOOL football. He is coaching college so I have nothing to say. Hopefully somewhere down the road I will be in his shoes! I'll be coaching at a school with a tiger mascot and my saying will be "fly the plane!" Or I will just have a picture of a plane and the little guy from (showing my age here) Fantasy Island pointing at it yelling, "the plane....the plane!" Good for him though! Nuthin but love!

I can't WAIT to go to K-Zoo this year and see if the fans actually do all of PJ's in-game cheers.

+1 I burst out laughing at work when I read that line, classic!

I don't mind the PJ stuff. Took over a dead in the water program and has to bring attention to it somehow. Sure most of it is over the top, but it has to be for anybody outside of Kalamazoo to notice. The business card thing got them on the front page of Yahoo!sports NCAAF section today (that's like the front page of SI for the fighting boatmen). Even "odd" publicity is good for a drowning program like WMU.

RE: PJ at it Again
I think that PJ will be successful at WMU and sooner rather than later. He is out recruiting everyone and as the old saying goes. In college football its not about the x's and o's, its about the Jimmy's and the Joe's.
