I know he is a freshman and will have no college experience yet, but I think Dominic Magee will be starting point guard this year. I see him surprising people and having a pretty good freshman campaign.

Should be a fun trip for the team- Canada in August weather likely better than Memphis in August. Get some team time...and a little better idea of who will step in to the guard roles.

Certainly little experience at the guard so this is a really good opportunity.

Also a good opportunity for the more experienced front line players in King, Shaq and Nichols to solidify themselves. Should be fun.

The games should be beneficial, but the allowed ten extra practices might prove more valuable.

Just another cheap way to bash coach.
Why didn't you just say so?
Pastner: Good coach.
Tigers: Inexperienced
Hoop Dreams and Joe: Obnoxious as hell and totally unworthy of being acknowledged as Tiger fans.
You can go talk to Tom B. about whether or not I'm "unworthy of being a Tiger fan", considering the Fact that I'm a season ticket holder and have been going to games since James Bradley played. You ask him if I'm unworthy. Better yet ask him if he thinks he should rip my tickets away from me? What hoop dreams said was funny. It doesn't mean I hate the great and wonderful josh. And it doesn't mean I'm unworthy of being a Tiger fan. I would bet I'm actually more worthy than you considering the money I spend the amount of games I go to both home and away.

I'd say that sounds about right. Need a few more of them to chime in though, jerking each other off isn't a proper circle jerk.

Classy....not. His post is 100% wrong. But keep your stance anyway.

It should convince all but the most obstinate posters.

In year 6 you cannot create a situation then use it as an excuse.

Only the blind go for that amigo.

Bingo! You are right hoopdreams. It's time for Josh to win. Period. Year six says so. Just go get it done and stop making excuses before the season has started.

The competition between Crawford, Pookie, and Magee should have an agreeable effect on their individual skills.

Yep. I go to the board and see a thread with over 50 posts and think there must be some real news worthy stuff going on. Nope. After the first post or two it's just another slap fight between Tiger fans. Still, reading this is better than FIFA (for me). Carry on.

What is with the preoccupation with circle jerks? It's unsettling to say the least.

Why does a group of men masturbating together evoke such strong emotion from you. You talk about this literally constantly.

Memphis will be as talented as anyone in the AAC 2-5. Kuran Iverson, Nick King, Austin Nichols, Shaq Goodwin. But who plays PG???

I agree with with these posters that Pastner needs to get it done this year. Coaches like Scott Drew and Cuonzo Martin have passed him

Don't you get it? We have seen through you, you are an alias who has tried this before under other names, the backhanded insults masquerading as positive posts for another team.

The whole sexual thing pretty much started with Hoop Dreams referencing the knee pads that someone should use during CJP's postgame interviews this year.

Knee pads is a joke that was a kind of funny in the last century, approximately during the 1980s. Newer material would be nice.

If JP couldn't win tournament games with 3 nationally ranked recruiting classes and last season, with three experienced SR guards two of whom he recruited and coached for 4 years, what in god's name make you think he is going to advance this year? This board has become as pathetic as Memphis basketball.

Because, hypothetically, one can be a fan of a team and not necessarily a fan of the coach. Josh Pastner is not our team and once he moves on (whenever that may be), our team will not cease to exist.

Just like people bashing RC Johnson or Shirley Raines were never questioned as fans, because Shirley and RC are merely employees of our great University. Although I think it's in extremely poor taste, one can criticize a player and still be a fan of the team.
