@Drexel
Rhode Island
North Dakota St
Morehead St (when Tyndall left there part of the contract had us playing them in a 2-1 but not sure where the final game is as we've played 1 at each place already)

Morehead will be a road game, I think. Also we're playing @ Jackson State (not sure why we signed a 2-1 with them).

This lineup still isn't thrilling me (again). Hopefully there's more on tap being arranged by Wild bill/DT

That's a pretty solid schedule. If every team in the conference(at least the top 60-75% of the conference) could get something similar to this, we'd be in fine shape.

Several very good games but the Arizona game at UTEP stands out snce the Wildcats should be ranked at or near the top of college basketball going into the season. We have a good team coming back with some promising newcomers, they have a great team returning plus their high ranking plus we have a long history with them. The Don should be packed on Dec 19th and should be on tv.

Looks like we might have a much better conference OOC schedule than we did last year.

That's a decent top half of the tournament. Hopefully MT can make some noise in it.

I don't know if Jackson St will be a easy win but we need to start scheduling easy (if there is such a thing), winnable, OOC road games, instead of the top teams.

That's one way to boost the RPI.....you get 1.4 for a road win and .6 for a home win.

RE: 2014-2015 Basketball OOC Schedule
Here's more detail on the Emerald Coast Classic. Press release lead...

Cincinnati, Creighton, Mississippi and Middle Tennessee headline an eight-team field in the inaugural 2014 Emerald Coast Classic, presented by Global Sports. North Carolina Central, Eastern Illinois, Northern Arizona and Southern are also competing in the tournament. First and second-round games will be played at on-campus sites Nov. 20 through Nov. 25, with the third round and championship round scheduled Thanksgiving weekend on Nov. 28-29 at Northwest Florida State College.

MT Games...
Middle Tennessee will host Northern Arizona and Southern at the Murphy Center.

We will then travel to NW Florida and play Cincinnati. Winner of our game with Cincy plays the winner of Ole Miss and Creighton. The two losers will then play a third place game. So, regardless of of the first two games at home we'll get two more games against one of these three teams.

ODU's OOC schedule is not super sexy, but lots of home games against regional teams (including longtime rival VCU and sometimes rival William & Mary) should goose the attendance numbers. Plus VCU, Richmond and Georgia State will be tough outs.

Nov. 15 UNC Wilmington
Nov. 18 Richmond

Paradise Jam Tournament
Nov. 21 vs. LSU
Nov. 22/23 vs. Illinois State or Weber State
Nov. 24 Clemson, Gardner-Webb, Seton Hall or Nevada

Nov. 29 VCU
Dec. 3 at George Mason
Dec. 14 North Carolina A&T
Dec. 17 One of two schools in Georgia that often go by the acronym of GSU 05-stirthepot
Dec. 19 Maryland-Eastern Shore
Dec. 22 William & Mary
Dec. 29 Mount St. Mary’s

Excuse please the nitpick, but UTEP plays Incarnate Word and not Incarnate World. The Cardinals are relatively new to D1 and play in the Southland Conference.

I can remember some losses MT has taken in SWAC gyms. Tough place to play, esp. with their refs.

Preseason nit, b4a, emerald. Lots of solid tourneys the conference is in. Plus u of a, louisville, and others at home. Lots of chances for the teams to get top tier wins. Marquee wins will help build cases for tourney berths. If we all protect our houses, and win a few on the road. And the basement doesn't flood too bad, we might be looking at a solid season.
