I can't think of a better payment in life than having the privilege of saving the life of another...whether that be a human or an animal.

One needs to only look at the difference between Mississippi and New Orleans after Katrina to see the difference between liberals and conservatives. New Orleans was looking at the federal government to help the people and their safety. Mississippi had to shut down Hwy 49 to stop too many people from going to the coast to help. Not the government, national guard, police and fire. They had to stop the citizens from helping. By the way, Mississippi was a direct hit..... New Orleans was more or less a flood caused by incompetence.
