And in your face? Sex and scandal has been on tv and in the public since....... forever. Sorry that two men or two women is just a little too ooeygooey for you.

That's all fine and good. They are people that define themselves by their behavior. If they want to be looked at as freaks, keep it up because frankly, that is the only answer I can give to a 5 year old that asks, "what does 'gay' mean?" And when he is old enough to explain what they do, I guess I will have no choice but to tell him exactly what they do.

If you tell your child all gay people are freaks then at the terrible parenting skills. Cant wait to see your little monster grow up and play ODoyle of the playground.

From my experience kids automatically think it's at least "weird" to see to guys kissing or getting married etc. Came up while watching Modern Family the other night. I hadn't said a word and my 8 and 5 year olds were like, "Ugh, Dad, what is that? Turn the channel".

That's because it is a little weird to kids who haven't been exposed and/or reached puberty yet. Additionally, it is weird since it's a minority that practices the lifestyle. An excellent teaching moment for you to step in and explain things a little.

I see your point; however, I'll contend it seems weird because it isn't natural. I did try to explain it to them without getting graphic. I then turned the channel the same way I did when a holcaust documentary came on.

Because

Gay people aren't welcome in the Republican Party of Texas. Regardless of how conservative they are.

There is no place in the Texas GOP for any group that doesn't advocate discrimination towards Gay persons.

This isn't the first time the Texas GOP has done this either.

When Gay people are welcome in the GOP, then you can question why Gay people reflexively vote for Democrats.

Gay people are welcome in the Gop Party. All they did was ban them from setting up a booth. While i think it is stupid of the GOP to do this, your statement of "Gays not Welcome at all" is misleading.

Not natural for procreation oprposes but over 1, 500 advanced species have been documented to practice it. Bit more natural than we'd think.

I'm not sure if I admire the Texas (and national) GOP for sticking to their values or pity them for being so stupid in their war against the gays that they face electoral losses because of it. Politics isn't a religion, it's a game. Now play it properly GOP, otherwise we all lose.

Think about it.

What good would a Republican gay do? If he supports Republican views then he's in like Flynn and there's no problem. But if he gets in, who's to say that he won't go against Republicans and put what the dems want in place?

It's like Ted Cruz running as a democrat. They'd throw him out in a heartbeat. And Tom acts like his intolerant bunch of qweerbo's hasn't already insulted gays who are Republican, and that was okay, but now it's not. He's just trying to stir shiit up, and it looks like it's working.

I tend to agree. I by no means agree with the homosexual lifestyle and don't want my kids overly exposed to it. However, I don't really care if homosexuals get married and I firmly believe they should be treated fairly.

*sigh*

One more time, we really need to stop pigeon holing people.

I know gays who are better Christians than a lot of straights I know. I know at least one gay American pickup-driving gun owner.

Just because you know ONE thing about another person, quit assuming every other damn thing about a person.

When you get right down to it thats where most opponents of gay marriage fall... I'm just looking further down the road than you guys.

We already see businesses being shut down for not catering to gay marriage, people sent to reeducation camp for "OMG", and secret school field trips for "sex days" in MA.

Unfortunately the gaystapo is a lot like Peta..

I could support them more if they were not extremist who jump from one hill to another until we are all just like them. But because they are brown shirts I have to oppose most of what they want.

GOP loses POTUS elections because democrats buy votes by giving UAW GM and Chrysler, adding millions to the disability, welfare and food stamp class. If the GOP goes socially liberal I'll switch to third party out of spite as would most Christian conservatives GOP would be hard pressed to replace 25% of their base by going socially liberal. They would never carry the southern states again.

And GOP is going to keep losing POTUS elections as long as those things keep happening. Do the math, the demographics are not going to change, certainly not in the republicans' favor. So the choices are 1) do something different, or 2) forget the white house--with or without your 25%. What would be your solution?

So it's an "if you can't beat em, join em" scenario that we get? That's all? I can't believe there's actually that many leaches on the tit. This is why the South would rather *secede, and I'm all for it.

*No Memphis, no need to comment about this and talk about a remake of a war from 150 years ago........again.
