Turnpike at a standstill past Fremont
RE: MBB: MAC tournament Rocket fans. On turnpike at 11 am just past Fremont and we are at a standstill. Tail lights as far east as I can see. I assume they still might be towing vehicles from the pile up earlier this week. Hope we make tip off, crap.

This from twitter:

@OhioTurnpike: @Shaun_Hegarty #OHTPK is now diverting EB traffic off at Exit 91 (SR53/Fremont) due to slow/heavy traffic, #FYI Consider alternate route.

Appears they had to close right and center lanes due to clean up.

I wonder how long it will take to get this all cleared up.

Are westbound lanes unaffected?

Heard they will be working on the inside lanes tonight.

Travel Advisory from Ohio Turnpike

Eastbound right and center lanes have reopened at MP 102.0 in Sandusky Co. Additional work zones in the left lane are necessary today to clear debris from the left shoulder. Customers traveling in this area may experience minor delays due to heavy traffic.

Yes those gawkers have to go - idiots. Seriously driving is so much more dangerous than in the past. Still see 1 in about 10 drivers with their phone on the top of the steering wheel while they text. Worse than drunk drivers.

I drive over 25,000 miles for my job each year. I've been in my current job since 07. Overall the drivers have gotten exponentially worse each year. Scary to think what it will be like in a few years and on. A lot of people drive recklessly and without patience, way too fast for the conditions and without any respect for others. Just makes you shake your head sometimes.

Drive back from Cleveland was great last night though. From the time I got to my car at tower city to the time I pulled into my parents driveway in whitehouse, it took less than 2 hours. Living in Columbus and Dayton the past 7 years has made me miss the turnpike and toledo "traffic".
