After seeing the gaps we're leaving for expansion, I think we'll be ok. Likely they didn't prepare for that correctly and the concrete is suiciding itself.

Next should be replacement of the press box and expanded seating like on the visitor side. From what I understand there is a long waiting list for suites so it is something that will pay for itself I would think in a relatively short period of time. The proof of demand already exists! I would love to have the opportunity to get some buddies together and pitch in on a box and drink adult beverages in the A/C on top of a bathroom right there. We do that and get something going on a new basketball arena and we will be set for a long time I believe. We are just not going to be consistently competitive in mens or womens basketball in any conference no matter how many times they update Hanner.

I have been thinking about Hanner and wondering if maybe GS should partner with the county to finally build the Convention Center proposed in 2005. $20 million was set aside by the county to build this thing and it has never been started. Back then they said it would seat 7,500 and be large enough to stage a rodeo.

Where would you rather sit in the stands or on the grass? Now that the kidos are older I'm not so determined to keep the grass but it was definitely the way to go with young kids. Even with box seating available I still enjoy the grass during much of the game. Particularly if there's room to spread out and the weather is nice.

Well what that means is our price point is extremely low right now as well. We need to raise the cost of the boxes to reflect the rise in demand. I've been saying this for a long time.

The wait list has been there as long as I can remember. I remember a long time ago my buddy wanting a group to pitch in and talking about it. I think we have around 26 boxes. You expand that and charge what the market will pay and I would think the cost of expansion would not be such a burden. Happy with the progress so far, the press box and basketball arena are the two major things that stick out like a sore thumb to me everything else is on par to where we need to be right now.

That "temporary" press box is the only thing holding our stadium back from being one of the nicest in the conference IMO. Hopefully in the next few seasons we will be able to move forward with real luxury boxes.

Take a look around the conference. I think our luxury boxes are better than those who have none at all. The interior of the boxes are fine. The press area could use a some upgrades but the rest seem fine to me, for now anyway. The sheet metal looks much better now that it's been painted.

They just don't look very good to me. Any way you look at it its sheet metal and needs to go. I have only been inside them a few times and I do agree that the boxes themselves aren't the problem, the appearance of the boxes are.

Nice perspective. Gives you a better feel for the scale. Gonna be great when we pack the place.

I'm sure there is some sort of lightweight cement-looking facade you can put on the box if it bothers you all at much. I do think that painting the press deck/suites white has really made the stadium look a million times better.
