You would think that an ESPN writer would have an intern proof read the story for mistakes. It is NIU not UNI. Please.

I really do think that the winner of the QB battle will be able to pick up where Lynch left off.

This will be the first year since maybe '08 where we have a true open competition for starting QB. I don't count 2010 because that was because of Harnish's injury and his unknown status going into the season.

Hopefully, maybe 2 of the 3 rise to the top during Spring Ball. Leaving August camp to see who takes the reins.

I guess my point is, if all 3 are neck and neck going into August, that makes it harder to establish 1st Team reps.

We are replacing almost our entire offense production, I didn't need to read another UNI article to figure that one out :)

I think NIU's best hope is to get Root out there as soon as possible. He has the tools needed that I don't think anyone else on the roster really possesses.

My only hope is that it is a true open competition. If NIU has big aspirations for its football program, the best players should play, I hope we can agree on that.
