I never said I wanted to hire Bruce Pearl. And, yes, I believe this team lacks identity. Don't know if you do math up in Canada so follow closely: we currently have 6 losses. I think we lose to SMU, Cincy, Louisville, once in the conference tourney, and in the NCAA. That equals 11 losses. I don't think we lose to Houston , Temple, or Rutgers. Stop putting words in my mouth , moron.

I only think we will lose one more game between now and the end of the conference tournament. We may lose one more game in the regular season and win the conference tournament or win out the regular season and lose in the finals of AAC tournament. Then we will lose in the sweet 16 game or the Elite Eight game. Eight total loses.

If anything; the team should be desperate, angry and looking for revenge in all of our remaining big games. By the time the AAC tournament comes along, we should be out for blood. We will see how tough the guys really are. I'm slightly, but not overly confident.

Realistically, if we were still in the old C-USA (No AAC, which means SMU doesn't hire Brown, stays terrible) and playing our exact OOC schedule from this season, we'd be 23-2 right now and we'd be without a loss since December 17th.

We'd be ranked in the top 10 right now, and probably looking at a 2 seed. (Just look at Wichita State)

Now, in real life, we've got 4 conference losses and are probably a 6 seed right now.

In both instances, we're the same exact team. One gets a high seed come March, one is battle tested by playing 8 top 25(ish) caliber teams in conference play.

Does the C-USA move hurt us or help us this season? We'll see in March.

My thoughts exactly...

If the goal is to get to the sweet 16 C-USA would help us more...If the goal it to go further the AAC probably will have us better prepared.
