Man, do I disagree with you!!!

EMU might have had the most difficult MAC conference schedule to date.

Akron (2), Ohio, Buffalo, WMU, etc.

Look at whom Buffalo has played within MAC (mostly cupcakes):

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketba...eamId/2084

NIU (2), BSU (2), CMU, etc.

Why aren't the schedules, like coin flips, essentially neutral:

C-R-O-S-S-O-V-E-R-S!!

Some MAC West teams have faced the worst of their schedule while the MAC East have played a lot of weak MAC West teams and not many of their own difficult East teams.

The schedules aren't essentially random, because of the deliberate (!) crossover scheduling which is designed for the East to play the East the last month of the schedule and West to play West for the 'pennant race'.

But you lost all of those games except one, plus a loss to 5-5 Miami. If Toledo is the best team in the conference, it's pretty easy to see 4-5 teams who have played better than EMU so far. There are only 12 teams in the conference. Seems exactly like EMU is in the middle third. EMU will probably be favored in 5 of the last eight games, which, if that plays out, will leave them 10-8. That's middle of the conference: probably be 4-5 teams better--UT, Akron, Ohio, WMU, maybe UB. I don't mean to insult the team. They are having a decent season, but it is what the MAC record says it is.

Okay, I guess all I'm saying is the conference schedules are not neutral or random (e.g., Tigers vs. Indians probably are neutral, with no built-in advantage to either team the first half of the season).

I think EMU has been hurt by their schedule.

UBuffalo* probably helped a lot playing so many soft games during the first half.

That said, things will balance out within the next four weeks and we'll see if UB is as good as they look today or if EMU is as 'average' looking as they do today.

That is why we play long seasons to let the cream rise to the top...

* There are probably other MAC East teams which fattened up on CMU, BSU, and NIU.

EMU has 5 games remaining vs. those 3 teams.

NIU is around .500 lay off lol.

They've played Buffalo twice (0-2), Kent twice (1-1), BG W, Ohio L, Toledo L, Ball State W, and Miami W.

They still have to play CMU, and EMU twice. Then a game against Toledo, Akron, Ball State, and WMU.

They probably finish those 4-4 and end the year 8-10 in conference, which is middle of the pack.

EMU is probably going to finish 4-5 the last 9 and go 9-10 in conference.

Saturday Feb 15th
1pm Toledo @ Eastern Michigan
1:30pm Ohio @ Buffalo
3pm Bowling Green @ Ball State
3:30pm Miami @ Western Michigan
5pm Central Michigan @ Kent State
6pm Northern Illinois @ Akron

For everyone not living in the central time zone, add one hour to each game time.
The Bulls game is also the second half of M/W doubleheader. I personally wouldn't expect tip until closer to 3:00 eastern.

Pretty sure EMU won't play 19 conference games.

Ohio suspends SF TJ Hall for failure to adhere to the team's academic policy.

He did not travel with the team to Toledo. TJ is a senior who moved into a starting role when fellow Sr Ricardo Johnson broke his leg before conference play. Sr Travis Wilkins will be expected to start in his place. Ohio will go with an 8 man rotation that includes off the bench (RS)Jr PG Bean Willis, (RS)So SF Treg Setty, and Fr PF Antonio Campbell.

Ohio's player violates academic policy and isn't even allowed to be with the team, Toledo's player is charged with a DUI and Coach K says he's going to keep him on the bench to help motivate and coach his teammates. that's pretty pathetic on Toledo's part.

Come on, man. This is really disappointing.

If you're going to say that, you HAVE to post the Jerk Store picture.

EMU knocks off pesky Ball State in Muncie, 73-62. BSU has some nice looking freshmen. Turner can stroke it.
