Some of the worst ball I've ever seen us play has come in the last 3 minutes of the the last 2 games.

What's crazy is that we were in it to the last shot against MT, UTEP, ECU, and now FIU. Four of the five conference losses have been very gut-wrenching. Team morale has got to be in the tank.

We've folded like a cheap tent in the clutch.

Jarvis Calhoun is coming.

lol Calhoun isn't a pg. I don't even think he weighs 160 pounds. Frazier and Watts should be fine pgs to beat FIU

I know for sure when he was at Trussville he played as PG for a while. I've seen him play in person. But you're right, 247sports has him at the 2.

Here is a roster link for reference: http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/hew...roster.htm

If he bulks up I can easily see him being a fantastic PG.

We also folded in crunch time against UNM, although they did make a ton of crazy shots. However, we put them in the position to be able to win on crazy shots, bc we missed Freethrow and continually gave them and-1's

That's the only thing that provides me an ounce of optimism regarding the team and the conference tournament.

If it we can just correct a few things, we can still make a run.

The rest of conference play is practice time to correct our problems.

I posted this in another thread earlier, but if watts had enough totals to be counted in the official ncaa stats he'd be top 50 in assist:turnover ratio at around 2.5 to 1. He was 4:1 tonight. He deserves more minutes than he's getting. So does mehinti. So does anyone who has a pulse and will play with some heart. We've lost to so many crappy teams, its beyond sad.

Mehinti & Watts need to play more.
I believe Madison should be seeing some time as well.

Madison has looked lost out there when I've seen him. His +/- numbers are the worst on the team. I don't know what Watts played tonight, but he has played anywhere from 16-23 minutes the last four games.

Mehinti gets in foul trouble if he is in too much, and playing Mehinti usually means less Alihodzic which isn't good.

They all have a pulse and they all play with heart. We are a medical school. We could tell if they didn't.

Well our research dollars have fallen off in the past decade or so. Maybe it's trickling down to the quality of our medical training??

Go to uabsports.com for the official box score. ESPN couldn't even get the score right.

It isn't about winning and losing games. It is about getting a superstar on the first team CUSA and a chance at league MVP.

Look at the play by play over the last 3-4 minutes and you can see how those turnovers and offensive rebounds off missed free throws by FIU cooked our goose.

RE: Eff eye ewe game thread.
We had cooked goose in the 1st half.
We fail to get up on teams that normally you would think we should.
Next thing you know we are 6 points down late in the 2nd half.
