I don't think everyone is saying all of that. I will say this...if we go to the nit, Josh needs to go.

The wheels would have to completely come off. 12-4 with this record isn't bad...

I guess you are saying it is crazy or stupid to say we need or should win on their floor. Funny, I bet Cincy and Uconn didn't think it was stupid or crazy to come here and win. And Uconn needed this win tonight.

It happened against OK State??? I don't seem to remember that. We played through our bigs a lot in that game.

It did happen against Louisville...but it's fool's gold. More often that not, the 4G lineup has hurt us against good teams.

Louisville, OK St., Florida the 4 guard lineup helped.

Our losses folks are really simple to break down. Ok. St. just simply got overwhelmed and it just snowballed. Cincy shot abysmal and that led to poor defense. Tonight against UCONN horrendous defense.

I didn't put the Florida game in simply because it was a great game and nothing in our play really cost us other than rebounding which was crucial.

This team has to defend better period. The defense we played against Louisville is the type we need to play.

There is one thing though that I agree on with what Pastner said tonight. When Crawford missed that open 3 that would have tied it. It's time for Chris to knock those shots down. He is a senior he needs to make that shot. Look at Napier he came down and hit some really tough shots when his team needed him to do so.

The same goes for Joe as well. He went so weak to the hole tonight it was ridiculous. Especially that last attempt yea he got bumped, but he has got to know that it's not going to get called so he has to be strong with it and attack instead of leaving it short.

Cincy should be ranked when we play them again. UCONN hopefully will be ranked when we play them again. Louisville should be ranked when we play them again. That is three more opportunities to get top 25 wins.

Yea it sucks to be losing these games at home. I figured going in to conference play that we would split with the big three. We would win at the forum and lose on the road. So far it's been the complete opposite.

Unconn and cincy are good teams but they aren't Arizona...losing these games at home hurts and you have to protect home court against unranked teams...also,I can see slipping up once cause it happens but 2 in a row? I mean com'n.

The 4-guard sets can be effective...but this teams needs rebounds in a bad way. How many 2nd (and 3rd, and 4th) chance points did UConn and Cincy have? In my non-coaching opinion, we're losing a lot right there.

I think we're best when we get our interior players going and let the guards let the game come to them...especially in light of how atrocious our 3-point shooting has been.

I respectfully disagree. Other than the Lousiville game, we played through our bigs in the OK State and Florida game. It was particularly emphasized in the OK State game. The 4 guard lineup has hurt us more often than not against good teams. We don't have the caliber of guards that the Villanova team had and nor are our guards tall enough to contain the 3s and 4s of a good team.

How could anyone put this on the coach? Has it ever occurred to anyone we got out played by the better team tonight? We are in a better conference this happens! We will be fine.

Why is Memphis hoping that our opposition accomplishes what we are unable to? Is Memphis now the fools gold @ 0-2 @ home?

Thankfully we are finally in a good league. Would rather take our bumps along the way then steam roll everyone and not have an exciting game all season. All the other great teams have been playing each other in better conferences for years, we have a lot of making up to do.

Two or so games into aac play and the tune here had changed drastically. Glad you guys finally caught up to reality. Lmao

Josh will get over 70%...no problem...we're about to go on a four game win streak...the game @SMU will be fun.

Lots of games left, folks.

0-2 at home in conference sucks but 3-0 on the road does not. Still 13 AAC games left including @ Cincy and UConn. Don't overlook the Texas schools.

People really blow up the 4 guards when MEMPHIS loses. Jackson had a really UNUSUAL 4-14 game last night. MEMPHIS missed about 5 point blank layups or "bunnies", as well as 5 FTs.
I guess Pastner coaches them to miss those easy ones, right?

Let's go through the whole season and examine the entire body of work. CUSA is almost orgasmic that MEMPHIS has lost 2 home conference games, and seems to imply that Pastner will not win 70% of his games in AAC. He is 12-4 thus far = 75%, let's see how things go through March 8. 70% of 31 games = 22 wins. I think it'll be more, but let's play it out.

We shouldn't be talking about what ifs considering that we got blown out by Cincy and UConn, but winning 2/3 out of Florida, Cincy and UConn would have us squarely looking at a 2 seed. We are now probably a 7 seed.

There is a big difference between missed opportunities and being in "okay" shape.

As a whole, we were completely outhustled and outworked tonight, which is discouraging.. especially at home. Our defense was simply atrocious. Sorry, but this falls under a head coach job description.

And it is beyond me why in a half court game against a smaller team AND the foul problems we didn't even try Woodson in the post to create a match-up advantage or to just put a body on someone? Why is Woodson glued to the bench?
