RE: Better now!
UL-Lafayette as first reference and UL-L as the official abbreviation. That's better?

RE: Better now!
The originally released reference guide incorrectly listed the university’s nickname as simply “Ragin Cajuns” and has now been revised to correctly list the nickname as “Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns.” Additionally, the guide originally stated “UL-Lafayette” would be used on first reference, however the hyphen has been removed and the first reference has been updated to “UL Lafayette.” - See more at: http://www.sunbeltsports.org/Article/tab...lQ3cK.dpuf

A step in the right direction.

UL has not changed anything, the conference screwed up with their initial release.

Your abbreviation is going to be really hard to remember.

I hate trying to find the dash (-) when typing.
They should have put your abbreviation as Louisiana if Troy is Troy.

Always wondered if Erk did that because he was bald or to make GaSo closer to the national symbol. Figured it was more the first.

Maybe I should have said hyphen.
wiki says:
The hyphen (‐) is a punctuation mark used to join words and to separate syllables of a single word. The use of hyphens is called hyphenation. The hyphen should not be confused with dashes (‒, –, —, ―), which are longer and have different uses, or with the minus sign (−), which is also longer.

Yes!

When our official name was "Texas State University-San Marcos" the press release was VERY SPECIFIC.

It was a dash, not a hyphen. Like you, I had to look up what the difference was, as both looked like a horizontal line to me.

RE: Better now!
So is the full reference supposed to be "UL Lafayette Louisiana Ragin Cajuns"? Is the full nickname "Louisiana Ragin Cajuns" so you can put that on the uniforms?
