Saw that earlier and posted a question on their facebook page about section assignments. Can't justify spending that much without knowing where the seats are.

Ok, I'm about to be really, really pissed. I've been calling the U of M ticket office for 3 weeks now asking when the tickets would go on sale for season ticket holders of my donation level (Club Level Seats). They first told me it would be December 30th, then moved it back to January 6th, then just said they weren't ready yet but promised me I would be able to buy seats before the general public and assured me I would receive an email. I'm about to chew their ass out.

my email from the school came in on Friday, saying I have until the 24th to buy tickets, so I'm guessing the sections are already separated from school tickets and public tickets. But again, even through the school, no info at all on where the tickets are or will be.

I knew some higher level donors got an email a month ago to purchase their tickets. I'm just frustrated because I called the ticket office and asked if and when my donor level (Bengal Tiger) would be available to purchase tickets. They kept assuring me I would see an email soon and would have priority over general public. Right now that does not appear to be true.

I called the ticket office every day last week and they always told me they were having issues. Did receive the email on the 10th since I am a low level donor and bought the tickets the same day. Still have no idea where I will be sitting.

That's the same thing they told me. Something about the woman responsible for posting them online was out of the office for the week so they couldn't do it. Did everyone but me receive an email? I receive TSF emails all the time, and I've combed through my email account twice now and never saw a damn thing.

RE: AAC BB Tourney Tix now on sale to public
I got an e-mail from TSF last Friday. Went online and was only offered nosebleed (Terrace Level) seats at $175 each.

Called the ticket office and TSF and was told that the computer software had a problem and should have also offered me downstairs seats at $300 each (the same price I have paid in recent years). I was able to place an order with TSF for 2 tickets downstairs.

I think it is pretty bad that their online system is not working properly. If you are paying $175, you are upstairs. Most downstairs and club level seats are $300 and court side seats with attendant service are $400 each.

My reward for being a longtime season ticket holder was to get no notice at all until i read the post on here tonight the tickets in the "special terrace section" were on sale to the general public. No particular seats, I will be told later. Please deposit $367.00.

I bought them so I am at least in the building, but if I were the University I would not expect a large donation from me this year.

Our ticket office has always been a major sore spot for the athletic program. They never get out in front of anything and have always sucked at communication to fans. Minimal effort and always have something or someone to blame for the incompetence. Someone is out of town, the sytem is down, the Forum won't tell us, the Liberty Bowl controls that, whatever, can't believe Bowen hasn't figured that part out yet.

I cant remember a school in CUSA that brought more than 100 or so people. Maybe Marshall when we played for championship 2 years ago. What kind of numbers can we expect UL, UC, and UConn?

RE: AAC BB Tourney Tix now on sale to public
I don't know this for sure, but based on responses here, the AAC forum, and on Roar, I think people are misunderstanding the process, perhaps.

First, these tickets are for terrace level only, not seats any donors would want, if they have a choice.

Second, no other school seems to have any ticket info on lower bowl tix, either. I can guess that the conference, being newly formed/reorganized, and playing in Memphis for the first time, hasn't really put out definitive guidelines yet, or they plan to make that push with donors later.

In the past with the Big East in MSG, there were NO tickets released to the public. Here, I think they don't anticipate the same numbers, due to a lack of schools clustered around the site, so it's a new process for the league, and they have to place a lot of lesser seats on sale to the public.

As for who got an email and who didn't, the problem is probably too many levels of customer, and too many individuals imvolved in getting notice out, while things are not yet set in stone.

Before anyone thinks I'm defending anybody, I'm not. I'm just thinking out loud of the likely scenarios to this point.

so the school knows about the problem, yet they've refused so far to send out notification that something went wrong? At least say there's an issue and we're working on it, but to stay completely silent speaks volumes.

Wait a minute, I didn't say there was even a problem with the school. I'm just surmising potential scenarios. It's also quite possible the league hasn't issued any guidelines yet for the lower bowl situation.

Memphis is not in control of the situation. The league is. And as I mentioned, NO OTHER SCHOOL SEEMS TO HAVE ANY INFO, EITHER, and tickets are being sold through every conference school's ticket office, right now, for terrace level. But you want to blame Memphis for not doing this or that, when none of us have a clue what the situation really is.

My guess is the problem is with a lack of direction from the league, since no other school seems to have any more info than we do. I think it could be that the league is still working on the lower bowl situation, which likely will NOT be a public sale, but decided to go ahead with the upper level tickets to have a better chance of filling it up.

I imagine our ticket office is simply trying to handle inquiries about the lower bowl as they come in, without the policy being finalized yet from the league.

Never said you said that. Sorry if it sounded that way, but generally I would have quoted you if I was going off your specific post. The school admitted it to convingtontiger when he called after receiving an incorrect email about purchasing tickets that there was an issue with the system. That's what I'm referring to.
