Decision (as most expect) will be can I win and advance at UAB? Money is a non issue as JSU will not be in UABs ballpark. [/php]

Clark is good enough of a coach to win most anywhere. UAB actually has some pretty good players........just a ridiculous amount of injuries hit this year (uncanny amount).

It's easier when your allowed to accept sec transfers without having them sit out a year. Especially when your possibly getting 4-7 of them per year. Or at least that's the way it seems. I could be over exaggerating.

Watts is back in town today, although I am sure Mackin shared with him the good news before now.

Names were probably collected over the weekend & I would guess they will determine who to interview over the next 2 to 3 days.

By Thursday I would bet that things will be coming to a close.

4 is probably closer but it is an advantage at a FCS school.

But the UAB job is exposing issues at JSU which have been swept under the rug. Our deal could get real interesting from the top all the way down. Blaze may have to rescue his friends.

Please elaborate. I'm not familiar with the internal politics at JSU.

So Clark is playing both sides. Inquiring extensively about the job, but denying he is taking it.

My warning bells are going off.

Internal politics probably meaning Jax State is putting serious pressure on Clark to stay clear of seeking the job.

He is telling the truth. You really think Mackin has offered anybody the job yet?

I have a feeling it's not a name we've heard. Misdirection play by Mackin. I may be wrong. I think Clark or Roberts would be good hires.

Maybe it's a test of his will. You are our new coach, but you have to do at least three interviews wherein you look people in the eye and flat-out lie to them. No winking either.

Why get worked up about his coach speak? Suppose the Dragon's theory: a source knows that the two sides have spoken, and it went well. Clark hasn't been offered the job, or is unsure if he's the final choice. Why would you not deny it to your current employer?

Because there's nothing else to do until we have something better to talk about.

I am losing track of the timeline. When did McGee leave again?
