RE: 2014 Recruiting Rankings
No offense, but I don't see why a bunch of JUCOs would want to transfer to GaState other than scholarship availability. Not trying to talk down about state here, just wondering what these guys hope on accomplishing with their remaining years of eligibility. A degree? Hopefully so. A chance to play on Sundays? I don't think that there can be enough turn around time for the program to get these players a look. If that makes sense.

HC Trent Miles
OC Jeff Jagodzinkski
QB Luke Huard
result?
#1 JUCO QB in the country

NA: The staff is just not one you'd find at a Sun Belt school. I mean [head] coach Miles is great, [offensive coordinator] Coach Jags, I still don't know how to pronounce his full name, [laughs] is amazing. I mean he's coached at Boston College and with the Green Bay Packers. [QB] Coach [Luke] Huard just visited my family this week and is a great guy. My dad and I were talking about how he reminded us of Peyton Manning a bit in the way he approaches offense and the game itself.
They are getting in front of kids we have no business being in front of.

I watched the kid's highlight reel. Looks impressive. But it is at the JuCo level. I'm sure he sees an opportunity to start at GaState rather than ride the bench/hold the clipboard at another school. I'd be the same way in his position.
Where else did he get offers from?

It doesn't...GSU was 0-12 this year but had a SI honorable mention all-american...NFL scouts will find a kid playing flag football in Peru if he has talent.
Why would any JUCO go to a transitioning GaSo? Or Troy or any other SBC school? They want to play football, they want an education, they like the staff? Who knows? GSU's staff is recruiting and selling the school and the program, that's what matters and that's why they sign. Maybe the kid thinks he can play and help build something? Why would any kid sign with a start-up program like GSU, ODU, Charlotte, etc. when they knew that they would have to red-shirt for a season? They like the school, the staff, and the opportunity.

Not at all. Just saying, how do you go from a very successful starter to #2 or #3 or worse on the depth chart? I couldn't do that, if I were in his position, regardless of who was interested in me. I would think it would erode his skill level a bit if he had to sit for a year or two.

A very good pickup. Troy also has the #1 JUCO QB in the country coming in (if he signs...he is committed as of this moment). Dontreal Pruitt played for #1 EMCC and is the NJCAA First Team All American QB selection.

Also a very good point. CUSA has a 4 point difference and the AAC has a 6 point difference currently
Yep, and you will see huge differences from top to bottom in P5 conferences.

I think your class is really good. But that's just my opinion. Don't read into everything you see on this board.
Everyone ranks QBs differently. Our guy is NJCAAs #1 QB, your guy is 247s #1 Pro Style QB. They are both very good and are great for the SBC. My listing of our guy is not an indictment on yours.

Your guys height worries me. Have had too many sub 6 ft QB nightmares already.

Napoleon, scmapoleon....I've been following this thread, even responded to it, but I'm uncertain what you're saying or asking. You can't understand why a kid, any kid, would go to GSU to play football? Is that it?
