I was on with Mr. Bingle too.

I was on Happy Hal once. He asked which toy we would like and I told him, but after the show they took it back.

Maybe that says more about you than it says about Happy Hal.

Nor can I. But I guess if it floats your boat....

My office is right between there and Times Square..convenient, but I'm always dodging tourists looking at maps or up..

Oh yeah, loved that place. I even remember Botto's Toys downtown, and the tunnel leading to Goldsmith's.

It's a "cool" thing to do for some ( i guess) . I honestly would not stand out there unless Cheryl Tiegs was outside on the runway in a string bikini .

RE: Today show
2007 our trip to the The Today Show.....woke up in the middle of the night and took a cab to the NBC studio area where you get in line. We were almost first in line so we got to talk to many of the reporters and a highlight was meeting Linny and getting a photo with him. Matt Lauer was very nice.

For nearly 20 years his smiling face was familiar to millions of viewers: Every day, rain or shine, he was there on the plaza as TODAY greeted America. His name was Linny Boyette, but he was perhaps better known as TODAY's superfan.

Sadly, Linny passed away Sunday, Oct. 6 due to complications from a heart attack, and everyone at TODAY mourns him as a departed member of the show's family. He was 71 years old.

"We actually get more viewer mail about Linny than any of our on-air team," said Natalie Morales. "And we understand because we love Linny too and we're certainly going to miss him."

LINNY

If you are talking to me, she wasn't an anchor until the following year (2008) I believe.
