Is Chisum still with the team?
Great recruit, great freshman year and did a bigger disappearing act than our former wide receiver "bones"

Thats the biggest one...having him and Mckay on the outside and Moore and Washington in the slot has got to be one of the most formidable WR corps in the country.

What's going on with Holton? Injury?

Hmmm, thought he didn't qualify so he had to sit a year.

And therein lies the biggest question mark of the off season...because Kiel doesn't look like anything special so far, Coney can't hold onto the ball in game situations, and Munchie probably still won't be able to hit the broadside of a barn and now loses a majority of his mobility.

Yep, thats the case. He'll still have his 2 years of eligibility however.

Just curious - what gives you this impression about Kiel? I'm not going to form an opinion based on how he played at ND as he was a freshman and was forced into action at times. Hopefully Coach Hinshaw's work with him over the year will help if this is really the case. I'm hoping his work with Coney will show next year as well.

I take.my.lunch break while the team is practicing most days. He hasn't looked very good in those practices so far, and he's not going up against the 1's and 2's on Defense.

If Chisum returns, we are stacked at receiver. Chisum, McKay, Shaq, Morrison, Cole,

TT said in early October Chisum would be redshirted due to injury. He is definitely still with the team, I believe he was wearing his jersey over his street clothes Thursday.

I was just having a conversation this morning about how stacked we are at WR next year and forgot about Holton. Coney had a lot of buzz in the spring and training camp but has looked awful in very limited playing time. Hopefully it's just a product of extremely small sample size because we are insanely talented at WR for the next couple seasons. Real disappointed to hear these reports that Kiel isn't impressing in practice.

Also makes me wonder about our style of play. TT mentioned in his post game that it's hard to wear teams down without a big running back, I hope he's not intending to go back to ground and pound next year with our most talented group being the WRs. Now if he wants to add that as an additional option to an offense that gets the ball in the hands of its playmakers then I'm all for it.

There are also some young, talented TEs on the roster.

Wow... That's a little surprising (and really disappointing). With Kiel, is it his decision making or just overall throwing ability making him look bad?

You can't really judge decision making with what he's doing (scout team snaps with Colosimo), but his arm looks weaker than I thought it would be and wild and he doesn't have a consistently tight spiral.

So the scout team spends its time preparing the 3s and 4s???

They run 1's v. 1's for half of every practice, then transition to scout teams.
