Great dominating performance by the Pirates…Score looks closer than it should have but no need to keep starters in the game. Guys thought the game was over with 5 minutes left while NC State was playing like it was a winnable game.

Only surprise to me was NCSU scoring that much in the fourth quarter... They are horrible this year. Good job, ECU! Good win, and a good BLOW OUT.

Why were you suprised? ECU had their 3-4 string defense out there. Did you watch the game or just see the final score?

Love how fans of teams in this Conf who have had no BCS wins have to preface the congrats with a statement like this dude.

I am also a fan of Miami. I would know ACC teams... lol. Also, keeping up your smart comments... Memphis is a BCS team. MT beat them. So, we have a BCS win! News flash.

NC State sucks this year. That being said, it was a good, statement win. You should be happy you won. Maybe next time I won't be so happy for you. I don't understand the need to dispute my post. Everything I said was true. I said it was a good win, and it was. You blew them out, as I expected. My "surprise" came from the fact that they were able to get their **** together even against your 3rd string. That should be a compliment, but I guess some people are just too thick to get it.

I didn't even come here to be harassed by ECU fans who get their feathers ruffled when I am pleased they win.

Really. Our BCS wins just this year would represent a huge chunk of the entire BCS wins of most schools in CUSA.

MTSU has

8-5 Maryland
7-7 Georgia Tech
5-6 Vanderbilt
2-10 Maryland
2-10 Vanderbilt
2-9 Vanderbilt

combined in 14 years. It's actually more than Marshall though who has 4. We had 5 one of those years alone in the last 14.

ECU's 1st and 2nd string defense was on the bench when the NCSU 1st string offense scored the 21 points in the last 3 minutes of the game against the ECU 3rd and 4th string defense, who were pretty much freshmen and walk-on players. NO reason for ECU to keep their 1st and 2nd defense in when they are up 35-7 with 3 minutes left in the game; with a chance to earn home field advantage for the CUSA championship game next week.

Our State.

This, *******. I'd love to play Duke in a bowl. Almost rather have a shot at them than play SEC.

They would beat most every team in CUSA except the top teams in each division…Just giving some perspective here.

I thought it was pretty cool that it seemed liked every player that travelled got on the field....Ruff knows how much fun it is to play in this game even if it was for only a couple of plays! Ruff is a smart coach.

I was glad to see all the kids get a chance to enjoy the rivalry. I was even glad for the NCSU kids to get a chance to see what it was like. It was a good clean game.

I like some of these postgame quotes:

Quote:"It definitely means a good bit," running back Vintavious Cooper said of the UNC-N.C. State sweep. "I know it probably means a lot more to the fans. But at the same time, we have bigger fish to fry than Carolina and N.C. State."

Quote:Fourth-year coach Ruffin McNeill was concerned about stepping away from that conference focus to play an instate rivalry game. His players handled it just fine.

"It was tough to prepare for, but the kids did a great job of separating the two," McNeill said. "Immediately after the game, they were ready to move on and get ready for Marshall as a group."

Quote:Carden went as far as to say hearing the ECU fans loudly chanting "Purple! Gold!" early in the fourth after Wolfpack fans had fled was "one of the coolest moments I've had here at ECU."

Quote:"You play two instate teams in a bigger conference, you beat them pretty good, obviously that feels good for your team," Carden said. "It means you're doing something right, but again, there's always something we could get better at."

I really like the mindset of this team…Coach Ruff has done a good job with the guys. Next Friday should be fun…Nothing like playing games that are important. I suspect both teams will be ready to play and lay it all on the line…If this game is anything like the last few it should come down to the wire.

Congrats on the win.

Why did NC State fire Tom O'Brien for a MAC coach again?
