ok, jackie cleaned house today firing almost everyone in sight. but my question is this...... Who should have gotten the ax? Jackie or Joe Lee?

i say Jackie shoulda gotten the ax along with Sparky and everyone else, but Joe Lee should have been spared.

Joe Lee didn't do so hot this last season or two but how responsible is the defense for the primarily ineffective offensive attack? The tackling was absolutely ****** this season many times though.

I don't think JLD should've been fired, but rumor has it that he's headed to UT-Chattanooga (his alma mater) as HC.

Hopefully he will make a smoother transition to HC than former Arkansas DC, Keith Burns, did at Tulsa. He resigned today after a 1-11 season.

State needs to just disband the team, take a year or two off, and start anew. if they recruit players that i havent seen in a police line up, then i might have a better outlook on the upcoming season, but until then, im throwing my weight behind arkansas. GO HOGS

well who else is there to support? the swamp rats of lsu? the rebels with their golden child? the red headed step child that is vandy? the slapstick comedy that has been every one else in the sec? screw it, until i find a reason to support an out-of-sec team, ill follow cedric cobbs and his white lines to atlanta.

Why not become one of them there bandwagon folks? They sure seem to find a way to become a lifelong fan of a team in the matter of a season. It can't be that hard to pick somebody.

Choose Tennessee!!! They have thousands of bandwagoneers, most of which could not even tell you how to get to their campus, much less what city in TN it's located in. I'm sure they could make room for one more!

tennesse?? i refuse to sink to that low. but you do have a good point, ive met alot of UT bandwagoneers. they are a low form of scum, just above single cell amobeas :wave:

kind of funny how after the big orange won ntl championship you saw orange where it had never been seen before. where's all the orange now? at least with st and um you always see maroon and red and blue, even on the worst years!

I think they should have booted Jackie. He can blame all of his assistance but he is the one not getting it done. I would feel the same way if I were an MSU alumni. I have never liked Jackie and if he was coaching ANYWHERE else, I would still feel the same. The guy just makes me tired.

:crying: :crying: How many more assistants are you going to blame? Put the Warden at Parchman on your staff and save yourself a lot of travel expense.

All Jackie wants for Christmas is a new clipboard, some new pens (any colors except red and blue) and a few new assistants.

I am delighted that Cheryl punted Joe Lee. Joe Lee was the best coach he had. It isn't his fault that the State College team just friggin fell to pieces. Remember the work Joe Lee did for Ole Miss. He put together some tough, tough defenses for us, and I am glad he won't be around State College to do that for them in the event they get some talent on defense. I say, let Cheryl stay, and let's sell him Klutzcliffe.

That pretty much sums up my opinion on the subject. I'm glad they kept Jackie. He helps us a lot more than he hurts us. Sure he has won more games against us than he has lost but you can credit 2 of those to Cut.

Is Jackie still looking for co-ordinators? I thought he said he would have them by Christmas. Oh, he meant next year!

No one on this board except us. If there were some guys from State on this board, they would be looking at the pic of Ms. Ward and saying, "Man look at the utters on that heifer!" :D
