This is an incredible hire. No thanks to Hammock and STF. But despite of them. Amirite?
I like this hire. Seems like an upgrade.

All jokes aside, this is terrific.
Ties to one of the Dakotas so he fits the requirement to get on staff :)

Lucky that he was available at a time when we needed an OL coach. Sometimes things just work out.

I would say Hammock had one of the worst staffs in FBS football when he first showed up. His hires have improved every time he needed to make a hire. Growth is nice to see, double nice to see since his contract was recently extended.

Beat me to it.

But in all honesty, I think he is an upgrade over agpalsa. More connections recruiting and will bring some connections from the South also.

For myself I felt like the O-line didn't really improve year to year and a lot of the players plateaued who I thought had much higher ceilings. Hopefully he can get it back to where we were getting about an O-Line guy a year signed undrafted or drafted from NIU.

I agree. There were steps I wanted to see the OL take and they never did. They were OK, and stayed OK. Would love to see someone make them “GOOD”. The potential is there.

I think big Z might benefit the most from a new coach with experience like this. You might see him take another step forward as he was one that I thought would be rated as a draft prospect before he got hurt.

Looking forward to see what he can do and like the fact he came from a good G5 in Troy.
Solid track record. OLine coach is one of the more important hires on staff, especially at the college level. I like that JC background and that Gulf Coast area for recruiting. (So Miss.Troy) Kill was very successful down there, think Jimmy Ward.

Big Z have any eligibility left? Dudes been here for half as long as Kyle Pugh has.

He had a redshirt year and then played 4 years. I'm guessing he would still have his Covid year but I might be wrong.
Very solid hire! Nicely done by Hammock. Our hogs will be ready to roll next season...

Wonder if he will be following his coach here. Wouldn’t be a bad depth piece. Played a lot at East Tennessee before he transferred to troy.
