ODU will play Texas St. at 8:30 p.m. on March 5, 2024 in Pensacola. The winner will face Southern Miss on March 7 at 6:00 p.m.
It would be the most ODU thing ever if we went on a run only to lose in the championship game.
It'll be a nice day when we don't face Texas State in the first round of the tourney

Please, don’t make it five in a row!

This is the truth. False hope and then heartbreak.

But, I really don't think we have to worry about this...this year.

Aren't they 2nd seed? We are talking about Sun Belt conference tourney, yes?

The real tourney
This is a nightmare matchup. Slow tempo team that plays pretty good defense. This won’t end well. Just make it end. I’m done with it anyway. Let J Wade play 40 minutes and call it a year.

Not only lose in the championship, score 32 points and lose.

Time well tell. The reason ODU is playing Texas St. is because Marshall beat them by 4 points, otherwise ODU might have had a chance in beating Marshall three times.
Unless they're Marshall, we ain't got a chance.

I don’t need time to tell me. I’ve watched this team play. The only games they’ve played well in are against teams that play wide open and get careless w the basketball. Marshall, Coastal, even Arkansas. These half court good defensive teams have obliterated ODU this year. This will be no different. Sorry to burst the bubble of those hoping for a run. It ain’t happening.

Thanks for making sure we understand our 7-24 team isn't likely making a title run.

It was intended for the people that forgot. Haha. You’re welcome.

In SB play Texas State is #4 pts/game defense
However, #14 pts/game and 3s/game; #13 FG% defense; #11 A/TO

Basically, a slow tempo team that attacks the basket and follows with ORBs. Take 13.3 3s/game (make 4.4). The snipers are Benson (77/108 FG attempts from 3) and Dawson (66/119). Can be TO prone and have been hurt by opponents 3s.
Is anyone actually going to the tournament?
