Haven't heard about players but A-State has been providing them with stuff.

EA is freaking serious man. They ask for fonts used on the field, images of decals like the ones where the facemask is connected to the helmet up top. Where on the uniform do you put bowl patches.

If we use a different uniform combination before the week is out they get a message from EA asking if that combo will be in the regular rotation or just a one off for a special event.

Our assistant AD said he's seen some of the A-State images and other than a few of the trees outside the stadium being in the wrong place it's spot on.

Only thing I'm waiting to find out is whether the waterfall fountains will activate on touchdowns in the game.

Man, it sounds like A State is on it. I'm a bit worried about Coastal's representation in the game, if Coastal even makes the game. Coastal's AD doesn't seem like he knows much and sounds super late to the game in terms of providing info to EA. This will be a colossal letdown if he dropped the ball on this and they don't incorporate Coastal's likeness correctly because of that.

The news interview with Hogue? I saw that interview and left feeling that they haven't been in communication with EA about any specific Coastal stuff. He kept using "intends" and that he would like to provide stuff. Seems like that should've already been done and further along at this point. Hopefully the end product ends up feeling like actually playing with Coastal instead of a create a team.

They said they are going for realism with the game. So if I'm not dealing with NIL spreadsheets and angry emails from fans after a loss I want my money back.

This is the kind of thing NIL rights are supposed to apply to, not some booster-financed fund paying each of your O-Line signees a 6-figure base salary for showing up to a luncheon twice a year.

Everyone in FBS is going to be in unless they refuse permission. They are doing at least some FCS schools as well.

I was impressed with how well they did our stadium in the old version (2013?). Hope they go ahead and get our updated press box in the new release. Excited to finally have a college football game again.

Exactly, it all goes back to the EA Sports college games and student-athletes being compensated for having a generic version of their likeness appear in the game. Now NIL is about athletes getting signing and/or retention bonuses.

A legit NIL deal, and the origin of all the NIL drama that has unfolded. I wonder where thing would stand today if the NCAA had allowed this type of deal in the past? Maybe we would have avoided the wild west of NIL that we currently have.
